Ajax: Cruyff vs Van Gaal…undecided…

louis jc nose

Who was it that said Fact is sometimes stranger than Fiction? In the case of Cruyff vs Ajax vs the Board of Directors vs Louis van Gaal there was another court case… I’m telling you, when you are an Ajax fan this is a nightmare!

When you are neutral you wonder what the fukc is happening at Ajax and when you are an enemy you laugh yourself silly.

Me, I think it’s sad…

And clearly, the court doesn’t have a clue anymore.

Now the latest rumor is, that the Board of Directors can not be dismissed without the main sponsor claiming tens of millions of euros in damages… This would kill off the club.

It is true? Who knows? The sponsor knows but they are playing Tommy. The deaf dumb and blind kid. On whose side are they on?? Most likely the Board’s. As JC never had a lot of time for sponsors.

More and more inside information ends up in the media. Want to know what goes on at Ajax, internally? Read on.

The Bosrd of Directors lawyer:

1. Cruyff doesn’t know the difference between business governance and football: Orlando Trustful trains at Ajax without having a license. Illegal. Youth coach Bryan Roy negotiates with Adidas about a 3 mio euro costing blow up practice hall. Wrong. Ajax has a Georgier doing a loan spell in the youth without having gone through proper procedures.

2. Ergo: Jonk and Bergkamp lack management skills.

3. Cruyff thinks he has veto-right. He doesn’t.

4. Cruyff claims the youth academy doesn’t train individually. Cruyff is wrong. They do.

5. Cruyff was only present at one Board meeting out of nine and for that one meeting he took Bergkamp, Jonk and La Ling without prior notice. Not done.

6. Van Gaal is happy to talk to Cruyff. Cruyff doesn’t want to talk to Louis. This makes Cruyff unfit as board member.

7. Cruyff leaks info to his media stooges and creates a culture of fear at Ajax. Van Gaal didn’t want Cruyff to know about negotiations as he didn’t want his name in the media.

8. If Cruyff wants to be the boss at Ajax, he should be a big boy and buy the shares and run the club like Abramovic at Chelsea. Then, JC can get his way.

9. Van Gaal was never planning to involve himself with the technical side as general manager. Interim manager Sturkenboom asked Wim Jonk several times for the Plan JC but never received it. This is obstruction.

10. Danny Blind is blamed for by-passing De Boer/Jonk/Bergkamp but there is evidence that Blind consulted with De Boer for specific situations and evidence of De Boer giving consent for specific decisions.

11. Any confidential conversation with Cruyff ends up in the media within the hour.

12. Cruyff, Bergkamp and Jonk do not represent the core of the Ajax employees. They are three people trying to seize power at Ajax.

Cruyff’s lawyer:

1. Louis van Gaal said in many interviews in the last 18 months that he doesn’t want to be involved with Ajax as long as JC is there.

2. When the Board approaches him behind JC’s back, he’s suddenly keen to come?!

berg jonk jc

3. Cruyff was in Amsterdam for a long spell and was never invited to meetings and the day he returned to Barcelona there suddenly was an meeting on “future appointments”. It was never suggested that this was an urgent decision making meeting and the Board clearly waited until JC was out of the country.

4. Chair Ten Have informed the media about Van Gaal before he informed fellow board-member Cruyff! This was done to put pressure on Cruyff, to not upset the apple cart. ( Clearly, Ten Have doesn’t know Cruyff….)

5. The other board members don’t know Cruyff’s arguments con Van Gaal as they never asked him about it.

6. Cruyff was appointed to the board to execute his plan. The other four were there to facilitate and make up the numbers. Now, the other four shot the JC plan out of the water!

7. The Board claimed they didn’t email JC about their steps because the emails go through JC’s wife and that was too sensitive (…). Why is it that it is ok for Ten Have to receive emails via his press officer?

8. The Board meeting in January was also shrewdly planned on a day that JC was on a holiday ( Mauritius) and therefore couldn’t come to the meeting. The holiday dates were known months before and the Board chair could have avoided this.

9. The former management of Ajax agreed to execute the JC plan. Therefore, the board and management agreed to do this and is therefore not just “a JC plan” but it’s an Ajax plan. Changing the organisational structure without consulting with the plan’s author is therefore inappropriate and invalid.

10. Frank de Boer recently said in a media interview to support the plan Cruyff and stated that there will be no room at Ajax for Van Gaal.

11. The club council also spoke with both parties (Van Gaal and Cruyff) and their unanimous conclusion was: there is no room for these two to cooperate.

12. And there is a petition of 160.000 fans who want to follow the JC route and not the Van Gaal avenue.

13. Van Gaal does not have a good track record at Ajax in the management role. In 2003 he was sacked after 8 months when he clashed with the head coach.

14. Interim manager Sturkenboom never read the plan Cruyff but did sack two youth coaches without consultation with Jonk and Bergkamp and he even gave Jonk two yellow cards (WTF??) which is like a reprimande or something…

15. Blind acts as spokesman for the club and comments on youth players’ development, which is not in the interest of the players nor the coaches. With this, he interferes with the core group strategy. His role ( Blind’s position) was never part of JC’s plan and should therefore be made null and void.

16. The board wanted Van Basten before they decided on Van Gaal. Why didn’t the board go ahead with Van Basten’s appointment behind Cruyf’s back??? Why did they allow Cruyff to talk to Marco and not with Van Gaal?

Court will resume on Feb 7….

Hahaha, love the nose jokes :-)

Just read that Nigel de Jong is allowed to leave Man City.

I hope Arsenal signs him. Good for Mertesacker.

ALso, what is wrong with Pepe?? When will he be banned for life?

Ajax is really disappointing….
Their passing and positioning are really really really poor as if they are 11 strangers wearing the same jersey.

Ajax-AZ was a great game to watch though! I think together with Twente-PSV (not the cup match) it was the best game of the season (for the neutral spectator).

Brilliant Guillaume!!

Well done. Please give instructions how we can all get this “app” on our smart phones, please…

AZ outclassed lazy Ajax. AZ played like a football machine with winger Beerens and prospect Maher in top form. De Boer said before the game that the competition was priority for Ajax. And his players listened well!

Adam Maher actually stated today that as a youngster he tried to become an Ajax player three times!! And three times, Ajax refused him ( not good enough). Haha… Is JC right?

( add to: Does the Pope shit in the wood, Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back? Are the Kennedies gun shy, Is the Pope Catholic… “Is JC right?”

FC Barcelona is the club that it is today because of Johan Cruyff. His philosophy has been instilled in this club at every tier down to the youth players. These players then go on to play for their country (7 out of Spain’s starting 11 play for Barca) and have familiar faces and the same philosophy around them.

At one time the majority of the Oranje Elftal were made up of Ajax players (plus Feyenoord/PSV). Now with TV rights and the amount of money being spent the financial side of football has made the Eredivisie a “feeder league”. The world class talent go where the money is so they usually leave. But the Dutch continually mold and create world class players. Just look at the leagues right now… v.Persie EPL top scorer, Van der Vaart huge success at Hotspur, Vorm/Krul the 2 best keepers in England, Sneijder Inter treble winner/Top scorer of the World Cup, Huntelaar near top scorer in the Bundesliga.

My whole point is Cruyff should be in charge of Ajax. Ajax should once again be the core of where the Oranje players come from. While these players will still go onto different clubs the system/philosophy will be embedded into them and when they play for Oranje they will play as a unit.

But Vaart is better than Maher, so we drop Maher.

And Sneijder is better than Vaart, so drop Vaart…

And Van Persie kicks everyone’s arse now, so we drop Sneijder…

Apples and Pears my good friend Tiju….

There are reasons why some players excel. Maher has a free role at AZ. Does Kuyt have a free role in Oranje? No. Kuyt has massive defensive tasks. Can Maher perform these on the right wing?

I don’t think so.

@Jan we have dejong—bommel–Strootman and even schaars or maduro for that….we play with 2 holding mids for defence still you want kuyt????it reduces the flow of the game and zero creativity from left side….
Vaart,Persie, sneijder should leave at their time…once we have the players who are able to replace them.

I know, I’m not saying that Kuyt belongs in the starting line up but to say a mid mid playing at AZ in the Eredivisie is better than the striker / right midfielder at a 4-4-1-1 playing EPL team and therefore belongs in Oranje is not making sense!
