It's pronounced Nacekuns, with the emphasis on Nace. The Nace was his nickname. Don't think it means anything in Dutch.

I have a side question - how is Neeskens pronounced? Is the "ee" like the English long e sound, like feet, weep, peep, etc.? Or is it a short e sound like Ed, led, fed, etc.?

Pep was such an awesome player. He saw the game so good he didn't break a sweat or ever had to tackle or slide to get the ball. A real artist. I think the manager needs to have the vision and the skills to get a good team together. If Nees stays in Barcelona, which I hope, they'll have a good field trainer who can bridge the era Rijkaard and the era Guardiola.

I'm not sure how well a coach Guardiola is. But from what I read from a recent issue of FourFourTwo and an article of Cruyff. Guardiola is like a big fan and student of Cruyff's training and tactical system, even the youth programs. He talks as if he's been completely brainwashed by Cruyff (exaggerated, but he certainly is very much inspired and educated by Cruyff during his reign in Barca). And Cruyff said Guardiola is the best candidate for Barca too.

i was so happy with barca's recent performances that i didn't watch the game which had no interest for our team. i don't know what's going on but have the feeling that half of the team should be replaced. it is not only and not mainly rijkaard's fault. i seriously think that guardiola 8who was a fantastic player) is not the right man for finding the solution (only one year of coaching experience with barca b,but as a player he worked with johan and luis). i'm almost certain that rafael will be one of the new signings. perhaps huntelaar and dany alves, too.

What a great game from Real Madrid. Robben played a magnificent game and he deserves to be on the starting 11 with Holland. I was so happy to see Ruud score again, that goal will give him a major boost.

Just read that Real Madrid wanted to sign Rodney Sneijder as well. Welsey stopped that. He advised his little bro', who was very keen to go, not to sign. "I'm not for junior players making these big moves. Let him first prove himself at Ajax. That's tough enough. If he can break into Ajax 1, we'll see about any next steps."

Asked whether it was true that Sneijder advised Real to sign Huntelaar: "What do you think? That I burst into the offices of the chairman and give him my advice about signings? That doesn't work like that. I am here to play football."
