Rob has created a league for us to play with :-)…

The league code is 48877-7316

The website is http://en.fantasy.euro2008.uefa.com/

I’m not sure what to expect (yet) but I’ll go there now and have a play.

Are we doing friendlies before too, cuz there a bit weird, you only get points for games between European teams, so before you pick your players, click on the I, and make sure they’re involved. I’m not going to be here for the friendlies, but will definitely be involved in the main thing.

I’m just sorting it all out. I haven’t got a clue. I’ll just play along.

As for the pool kind of thing… That’s something different, isn’t it?

Is someone going to set that up as well?

Just saw there’s also something called Predictor on the site, which allows you to predict scores and results (incl friendlies) and you can again use the “friends-league” format.

I’m gonna enter mine… :-)

AHA! We didn’t have a code for that yet. I’ll create one and then we can all play the Fantasy thing and the Predictor one.

Hang on: the machine is creating our code (isn’t this romantic??):

18400-805

See you there :-)!

But….. BE SURE TO COME BACK HERE :-)

Yeah, I picked some players, but I’m not going to start taking it seriously until the main event starts. I’m sure UEFA.com will reset the points once the actual tournament starts.

the leageu shud b fun. i just joined it.
sad to kno seedorf not goin wid the euro squad. we missed another experienced guy. the first one was of course van bommrl. but ihave a feeling that this dutch side has great bunch of talent and experince to poceed into the next round. we can cope it well widout seedorf and van bommel. seedorf wasnt that regular member in the qualifiers n bommel was not even playingSo wat i think is dat its not a very big loss. for the last two games (against croatia and austria ) we have been playing very good and this is a very good indiacation that we r heading towards a right direction

Thanks for giving it a proper post Jan :-)

Yeah guys - I have no idea why they’re doing these friendlies - just treat it as a warm-up, I think they’ll reset it for the main event. I’m not bothering to pick players for the friendlies. You’ll get infinite transfers until the main event I think. Should be lots of fun once the main event kicks off!

Alright, I’ve joined the leagues :-) I usually do pretty good at these fantasy contests with the EPL, but I’m not as good at national team tournaments though…

Should be fun!

I got a little confused there by those last two posts, then I realized I was being an idiot. Anyone here pick Maniche for their team?

Oh come on let’s be nice to Maniche. After all … well … come to think of it I can’t come up with a reason why we should feel sorry for him. HA! That has to be a low point for him.

I’m in as well (both leagues)… and btw, have you guys seen the slogan that will appear on our national team bus at EURO? :)

Nice link Genio. Our slogan’s pretty good. Two of the other ones are pretty bad though:
Romania - “Romania, we are proud of you and love you!” Sounds like they are already accepting defeat… like what your mommy says to you when you go play little league.
Portugal - “This coach is driven by the Will to Win” Kind of lame…
