9 Ruud van Nistlerooy, great to know he’s # 9.

If you pay attention every # is related to that of his competitor like with Ruud (9) and Huntelaar (19) or with Robben (11) and Babel (21).

“i found a ticket for holland – italy game.”
Yianis – I suggest you return the ticket to the now-suicidal supporter that you just stole it from :-P Just kidding. But seriously, how did you find a ticket??

now i have to find out about the seating… really important!
anyway i am going, i am not missing the opportunity. hope i ll be among the oranje because even if being next to the italians i will not be able to control myself when we SCORE!!!!! :)

Haha Yiannis, good for you mate :-) !

I don’t know how to do it, but is there a box-number or seat number or anything to verify. I can try to contact the KNVB about it…

Michel, did I make a mistake in my post with the numbers? The UEFA numbers seem to be similar to the ones the KNVB released?

That means van Basten is proibably going to have the formation being

————-van der sar—————-
ooijer–heitinga–mathijsen–van bronkhorst
———de zeeuw—–engelaar———-
van persie——sneijder———-robben
———-van nistelrooij————-

Most of the time the starting eleven numbers get these positions.

That team’s not bad, but I’m starting to think Bouma should be in for Mathijsen and Affelay for De Zeeuw – things can still change I’m sure.

Just ordered my Van Persie shirt too – I went with the sexy flag stamped away kit :-D

de Jong/Melchiot–heitinga–mathijsen–van bronkhorst
———de zeeuw—–engelaar———-
robben——van der Vaart———-sneijder
———-van nistelrooij————-

Yep. Possible.

But… I think you want to tweak the squad per opponent. If the opponent plays two strikers, we’ll play differently than an opponent with one lone striker. Also, it depends if the striker is a tall header (Toni) or a small, speedy dribbler (no example here :-) … Oh…Torres?).

Anyway, with backs who need to build up and come forward in their channels, I would always suggest two markers in the back (centrally) and one playmaker / holding midfielder right in front of them (Sneijder, De Zeeuw).
