Yea, it's a probably a wise strategy. Because it's hard to score in football, even against mediocre teams, you can win games with defense, as romania as done. But it's no fun for the players or the fans--bad for the game. In every sport we want to see the best players show their stuff--and that's hard to do when the other team has got eight guys between you and the net all the time.
