My Crystal Ball, pt 3…

June 17th, 2008 | By: Jan | 4 Comments »

Well, it’s a bit clouded… Maybe it doesn’t work too well when there’s no real need to win :-)

(I put this in for our French, Italian and Romanian friends, just to rub it in…)

But, I did see very clear images of Oranje Angel chasing the ball in the box.

Funnily enough, I also saw images of Rafael’s hotelroom right after the France match. And it seems to be correct… Sylvie and Raf didn’t do any sleeping… They were playing Pro Evolution Soccer!!!

Raf was Oranje, Romania was played by Sylvie!

Anyway, I saw a sort of B-Oranje (yes yes Marco, I know your pr-quips… there is no B-team, yadda yadda…)… Afellay, Robben, Van Persie, Huntelaar… Wow, the Romanians are really relieved :-) .

But I did see a tough match. As it always is against the Romanians. A draw. Yep. It’s a draw. Lots of goals though…

But, no goals at Italy – France. 0-0. In my crystal ball, they had to take 50 penalties each and none of the teams could win. Platini came up to the field, wanted to borrow a coin of the French, what do you think? No money on them. Those French!! Then he asked the Italians. A coin quickly went from Donadoni to Platini. And Italy wins!!! Oh, no… Hold on…the coin… It’s tampered with.. It’s a fake coin! Platini hears the Oranje results and decided to end this death match between the two former behemoths and decides to call it a day. Go Home, he shouts…

Henk Kesler is cheering like a madman, until Willem Alexander explains to him that Oranje was qualified already.

JC jumps on Van Basten’s back and pleads with him for a job at Ajax.

Willem Alexander jumps on Oranje’s Angel’s back, and pleads for [stuff deleted by editor]

Oranje and Romania are through.

That is what my crystal ball says… So, we can finish with…hang on…

Now, we’re in trouble. Robben, Afellay, Van Persie, they played so well that Marco has a huge problem on his hands for the quarter finals… Who to play?

A huge fight is started between the midfielders. Dirk Kuyt seems to win this… Sneijder is down, van Persie is running like the wind with Afellay on his heels… Raf is on the stands with Sylvie and Engelaar decides to knock ‘m all down.

The infamous infighting has finally started. Kesler is cheering again AND TELL PRINCE WA TO STOP CHASING ORANGE ANGEL!!!!

Holland loses against Russia in the quarters. Hiddink will move on to beat Romania and win the title with Russia against Portugal…. That center back there….the guy who just gave C Ronaldo a hit… The bloke with the Russian shirt… Isn’t that Boulahrouz????

Enjoy the moves from Latin lover Raf…

I don’t like romania or any team that’s simply focused on defending their goal–that’s BS. Yea, it’s a probably a wise strategy. Because it’s hard to score in football, even against mediocre teams, you can win games with defense, as romania as done. But it’s no fun for the players or the fans–bad for the game. In every sport we want to see the best players show their stuff–and that’s hard to do when the other team has got eight guys between you and the net all the time.
