try Peter Dillons on the corner of 40th street and Lex Ave. Shows all games, shows all Prem games during season too. Also if you are a Portugal supporter, the guy that runs it is a die hard Man U fan and has two big Man U flags swinging outside. Me being a Liverpool fan find that somewhat difficult to deal with, but we get along just fine at the end of the day. He also has 9 big plasma screens in there, so you will be hard pressed not to find a good spot to watch it. It can get crowded, but by and large, my favourite NY spot to watch games.

I had a great time last night. In a large and great public viewing community in Karlsruhe/Germany with many nationalities, all had a wonderful time, including the Italians. All agreed that the game showed why football has so many fans. Thank you Holland, thank you Italy too.

After the boring France-Romania game I wish that Italy will proceed along with the Netherlands.

What a great enertainment that game was. After all, football is about entertainment.

Oh dear, my head hurts today. For all the right reasons. Have not had such a hangover since I broke into my fathers liquor cabinet on new years eve as a 16 year old. Very long time ago.

All I can say is watching this game in New York was priceless. I sat in a pub (my regular Irish pub) next to a bunch of Italians who run a pizzeria around the corner and then a bunch of Dutch tourists came in (from Rotterdam, but that's OK), felt less lonely after that. Massive atmosphere, place was packed, the Italians got really quiet really quickly and us Oranje fans got loud, up on the table, singing dancing. Dirty old me even got a chance to grab a nice pair of Dutch titties after Sneijder scored. Even more Priceless!!

I love being an Oranje fan. To all you Dutch, thank you so much for producing these magnificent artists. Now I know how your tiny country could produce all these great masters, Rembrandt, VanGogh, Vermeer etc. You are still doing it, only now they all play soccer!!

I agree Stasio... I could only sit relaxed after the third goal. I still felt that if Italy scored, the match would be wide open. At times Italy played well and if the little moments that make up football panned out differently, who knows...? But Donadoni is responsible for not playing De Rossi and I do feel the line up let Ital down...

You clearly out played us, but do not get fooled Donadoni put out the worst lineup i have ever seen and this is why we were beatin 3-0... not making any excuses i know you guys took it to us but I am just bieng honest in saying that the right line up out there
(ex. Zambrotta-Chillineli-Barzagli-Grosso
Acquilani-Pirlo-De Rossi
Del Piero-Toni-Cassano) and this would have been a much different game. Again no excuses but Donadoni blew this one big time, all Italians were thinking this from the start of the game honestly, especially when we see no De Rossi out there.

Good Luck next round, beat France for us so we can go thru as well and meet again..

Brilliant performance from the Dutch team. It's not like Italy even played that badly. They just got turned over completely by the Dutch. Van Bronckhorst was amazing.

Hopefully they can keep up this level of performance throughout the tournament.

After watching much of the game again I was really impressed by the D - particularly the Cannibal. How many times when there was a threat did Khalid sweep the ball away. How many times did he do it cleanly?

Gio too. not only did he score - he was great in cutting down the angles and getting on his man.

Van De Sar. Wow - after Khalid got subbed (probably had to since he's coming off an injury) two fantastic saves.

Kuijt got beaten defensively a few times. But then I realized - he had been on the other side of the field a second ago. With two assists in the end - and tireless back and forth running. Great teaming with Van N.

And notice that two of the goals were on rapid counter-attacks. Built slowly most of the time, but Nederland came out running. Very happy that possession was 50% - 50%. Oranje attacked to score, not just to dominate possession.

Also liked the subs. Despite the lead Van Baasten pulled his tired guys out and got in fresh legs in the attack. Van P showed some flashes - but clearly needs to get in sync.

Schneider was unbelievable - funny that he's wearing number 10 now, not van de Vaart.
