Improving the Blog!!

Me, 28 year ago… The shame….

Hi all, just a little word from our sponsor :-)

No, just kiddin… But in all honesty, you should know that this world cup blog – as it’s called – and the related The Offside is doing very very well, thank you. And mostly because of…. YOU ALL!

You’re the heart and soul of this by keeping it (and me) alive with your witty, insightful and passionate comments.

So, we’re moving on. I will keep on writing Oranje related stuff here (as ever) but I will also start to contribute to the Eredivisie Parent-page at the Offside!!

There’s a Dutch Eredivisie chapter there, and in particular Ajax and PSV are well covered in that section. I will contribute generic Eredivisie stuff (on any team, player, historic event or whatever) and others will concentrate on their specific club.

And as it is, there is room for more!

So, if you feel in anyway connected to a Dutch club (Finnster: Heerenveen?, Goose: ADO Den Haag) and you feel you’d like to be part of this weblog jetset, leave a comment here and I will forward your interest to the Blog Gods.

Bring it on!!

@Jan: The only thing I know about Heerenveen is that there is a very fast speedskating icerink there and that’s about it. Joking aside, I am an Ajax man and have been for years as you know. Besides it’s real difficult to catch Eresdivisie over here in the states.

However, would I could do, since there are very strong Norwegian connections now in Hereenveen (coach Sollied and Tarik, Norways strongest young talent) and likely to be more going fwd, is to provide extra information obtained from Norway. I heavily monitor all the major newspapers and their websites, as well as some smaller ones. I could probably add another perspective to the blog, just as I do here everytime there is relevant Oranje information. The Norwegian press follow their players all over the world at all times, and when something interesting happens they write the stories. For example, there has been several interesting interviews with coach Sollied that I am sure was not printed in Dutch or English.

That’s about as much as I can do.

Jan – are you still going to post the Eresdivisie news on this blog as well?

Caleb, I could… It’s not a big deal to post the information on two spots, but…

when you’re interested in Eredivisie stuff, there’s much more at the Offside. There’s a dedicated PSV and Ajax blog and who knows, I might get my friend Goose to get an ADO Den Haag page up and running :-)

@Finn, your contributions regarding the Vikings are more than appreciated so keep that stuff coming, my friend!

Yeah, I suppose so… but I’m not interested enough to check both blogs regularly. This is my regular blog and I like hearing the Eredivisie stuff that relates to Oranje in particular, which is what we tend to get here :-)
