Mark van Bommel: This is Wahnsinn!

Van Bommel and Kahn being nosy…
Mark van Bommel was ecstatic with the draw at Getafe. After the 1-1 in Germany, Bayern was able to get back from a hopeless situation. Twice.
Ribery scored the equalizer in the last minute of the full 90 minutes and Toni made sure Bayern mopped up the 3-1 lead of Getafe in extra time.
Van Bommel: “I never ever experienced something like this!” Van Bommel got a big smack on the nose during the festivities after the match. Goalie Ollie Kahn didn’t notice Van Bommel behind him who was ready to jump his keeper. At that same time, Kahn threw his fisted hands in the air, smacking Bommel full on the nose. “Ollie hit me right on the nose. But, that’s all in the game. We are truly passionate and we even hit our team mates out if necessary. But you won’t hear me complaining…”
“I don’t have words to describe this. I have seen a lot already in international football, but in ten years time people in Munich won’t talk about Man United or Real Madrid but about our heroic come-back against Getafe.”

well said goose. i can’t believe getafe’s luck (or lack thereof), they played brilliantly with only 10 players versus 11 for 115 minutes, all their goals were well deserved, they had the most incsive passing and with the open net at his mercy and kahn already beaten their striker slipped when he went to kick the ball…it would have been 2-0 at that point and game over. i had never seen getafe play before the first leg of this tie, but they are great team to watch for the neutral fan, i love their passing play.

Igo, same here! I never saw them play. I always thought they were a sorry bunch, being Madrid’s number 3. But I am a fan as of now!
