Wonder goal: Luc Nilis

Some players score a lot of goals, some players score a lot of beauties and then some players can only score wonder goals. Dennis Bergkamp comes to mind. Marco van Basten, of course. Robin van Persie. And that Belgium bloke who won over our Dutch hearts. Luc Nilis. Had to end his career due to a horrible injury but the man is back at PSV, as youth coach. And if I’m not mistaken, his son is currently a young talent at the Eindhoven club.

Luc scored many great goals, but this one is probably his best…

Oh, hang on…this one isn’t bad either….

Actually if there is/was ONE person most like Cruyff in physical appearance and the way he runs and acts on the field it would have to be this Belgian Magician.

Really?? Luc Nilis? I wouldn’t say that… I thought he could have been as good as Zidane…. I thought John van ‘t Schip resembled JC a lot, in his facial expressions, his runs. John played on the Ajax midfield at some stage and he was a tremendous playmaker.

But Nilis was all class!

@carlos; Nilis was special but didnt come near Cruijff ofcourse, think the one player who came close was vBasten..

btw; Kuijt scored a very importent goal for Liverpool against Liege, it has brought Liverpool Cham. Leg.; expensive goal

Sorry no comparison in ability…just the way he ran…even on the one everyone just saw, he just acted non chalant as if to say…well what do you expect ???
