Van Vossen’s laughs at coaching career

Raf van der Vaart’s struggling HSV Hamburg is risking losing out of CL qualifications. Future PSV boss Huub Stevens tries all the tricks in the book to get his boys to fight back. First Belgium talent Vince Kompany is sent away, and now Vaart has been penalized (5.000 euros) for criticizing that decision.

Ronald Koeman is disappointed that he can’t collect his 3 mio euros “fukc off” money. The Valencia board decided that Koeman, who won the Spanish Cup with his team, can stay.

Referees who are active at the EC2008 will be paid 10.000 euros per match. I’d be happy to do it for half.

Royston Drenthe is fit again after his Robben collision last week. Ruud van Gol has resumed training for Madrid.

Chelsea won their Everton fixture, 1-0, keeping the pressure on Man United (who will drop points against the Rovers this weekend, mark my words).

Uri Coronel has accepted the Ajax chairman vacancy. Coronel is a long time member of Ajax and was part of Van Praag’s successful board in the 1990s.

Peter van Vossen resigned as assistant manager to Peter Boeve’s coach at Omniworld. Van Vossen moves to a coaching position at AGOVV Apeldoorn.
Van Vossen will assist his buddy John van den Brom there, with whom he played at Ajax and in Turkey.

Ajax coach Adrie Koster pleaded with the KNVB to bring the real champs’ cup to Amsterdam instead of Eindhoven. In cases like these, the KNVB uses replica’s in case PSV loses suddenly and Ajax becomes champs. Koster is confident Ajax will win and PSV will lose.

Fernando Torres, the Liverpudlian scoring machine, threatens to take Ruud’s goal scoring record for a first season in the EPL. Kuyt: “Ruud is a top striker of course, but Torres is only 24 years old and seems to only be getting better and better…”

Here’s an overview of the National Cup finals:

And in de Graafschap, I think.

Who will PSV play against?

Vitesse, hope they can beat PSV!

I still remember the last round in last season, PSV got a big win against Vitesse (!) and Cocu’s last goal gave PSV the title over Ajax with 1 goal difference…

Yep, Cocu scored the historic goal and it would be his last in Holland. He played for some Saudi team for while and scored there too…

Did Van Vossen play for De Graafschap?

Yeah. Van Vossen was one of my favorites back in the day, I’ve always liked a bit obscure players. He played in Graafschap between 2001-2003, then retired, just playing on amateur basis, only to get back into top football when Vitesse needed him to save them from relegation in a play-off.

Yeah, what a way to say good bye to top football, scoring a goal that meant winning the title must be an incredible feeling. Cocu deserved it and he’s an example for the younger boys he’ll be a big help to Bert.

In case some of you have not seen this,
this was a spectacular overhead kick scored by Cocu in UAE!
