He has scored 20 goals this season…
You know, maybe next season he will be in Arsenal first team….partner with van Persie….
Just wait and see!

Edwin van der Sar is a terrific goalkeeper and a wonderful captain.
Robin van Persie is all natural talent but unfortunately he is injury-prone. Arjen Robben tries to do too much by himself at times but is a wonderfully skilful and creative footballer, even if, he too is injury prone.
The above are my favorites of the current generation. Very hard to leave out Ruud but I have done so on, only on the basis of his World Cup performance. At club level he is an absolute champion !
Hans.

Barazite! So, he’s the Arsenal youngster… I remembered some young Dutch player there, but couldn’t remember his name. Has anyone seen him play already? in Arsenal 1. And is he part of De Haan’s selection?

Still only 17 (turns 18 in May), his scoring record for Arsenal U18 is quite impressive: 13 goals in 16 games, and 5 goals in 13 games for the reserve team there. He also made a senior team debut this season. Currently playing for Dutch U19 I believe.
There is a new article about him in the official Arsenal website.
Barazite - I’m learning from Dutch legends
By Chris Harris
Nacer Barazite is hoping to follow in some illustrious footsteps by becoming the next Dutchman to break into Arsenal’s first team.
From Glenn Helder and Dennis Bergkamp to Marc Overmars and Robin van Persie, Holland’s finest have graced Highbury and Emirates Stadium since 1995. And on the evidence of this season, Barazite could be next.
The 17-year-old has been one of Arsenal’s most impressive performers in the Reserve League and earned a senior debut in the Carling Cup victory at Blackburn in December. Barazite’s pleasure was mixed with pain - he dislocated his shoulder after coming on as a substitute at Ewood Park - but he hopes that fleeting appearance will be the first of many first-team opportunities.
“My targets for next season are to gain more and more experience in the first team, some more Carling Cup games and see where we go from there,” Barazite told Arsenal.com.
“I am definitely a better player now. Technically I am better and overall I think that I have improved a lot.”
Like Bergkamp, Barazite prefers to operate just behind the main striker where he can drop deep to gain possession and either pick out passes or try his luck on goal. The Arsenal youngster knows he could do worse than watch and learn from the Dutchmen who have gone before him.
“I can take everything from them,” he said. “All the Dutch players who have been at Arsenal are fantastic players. You can take from every side of their game and learn how to play. I hope I can be one of those.
“Unfortunately I never managed to speak with Dennis Bergkamp because I arrived when he was leaving. Maybe in the future I can speak with him. But Robin van Persie is quite a good friend of mine, he talks with me a lot and is a good help to me.
“Hopefully I can be as good as him one day.”

And again!
Arsenal has signed another Dutch player…
Arsenal have signed 15 year old Oguzhan Özyakup from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar, on a five year contract according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
The Holland Under 17s International who is of Turkish descent, is rated as one of the biggest prospects in world football, and last night AZ accepted a substantial offer from the Gunners after interest from Ajax, Barcelona and Inter Milan for his services.
The terms are two year scholarship with the option of a further three years as a professional, however he will not link up with the squad until he turns 16 in September 2008. In a similar way to Spanish defender Ignasi Miquel.
Özyakup is a highly technical central or right sided midfielder, excellent on set pieces and blessed with an eye for a pass, and shows another excellent find by Steve Rowley’s much coveted Scouting system.
AZ were keen to hang on to Oguzhan, but Arsenal’s offer was too lucrative to turn down. It is expected he will travel to London before the week is out, to visit his new housing as well as meet the coaching staff and arrange schooling.
Arsenal completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Oguzhan Özyakup in April 2008 in a deal which Young Guns announced first.
Dutch born but of Turkish descent, Oguzhan is a creative and highly technical central midfielder who can also play on the wings. Blessed with a superb passing range and ability to crop up in the right place to score goals, his talents add up to a lethal combination for opposition.
After coming through the Youth ranks at local club AZ Alkmaar, he was quickly promoted to the clubs Reserves side aged just 15. During this time coach Louis van Gaal became a huge admirer of the wonder kid, and invited Özyakup to train with the first team on various occasions.
Soon International honors beckoned, scoring on his Under 15’s debut against Ireland, he surprised many by featuring in the Dutch 17s squad recently, despite being only 15 meaning he had been promoted a year early.
Many AZ fans have made comparisons to Cesc Fabregas and Zinedine Zidane, Arsenal fans will hope he can live up to that potential.
However in late 2007 it emerged Oguzhan has turned down a scholarship contract, and was made aware sides such as FC Barcelona, Ajax and Inter Milan were keen to tempt him away. Arsenal stepped up their scouting of him, and in late April faxed a offer described as “lucrative”, and a deal was quickly agreed.
Oguzhan signed a two year scholarship contract, with the option of a further three years as a professional, showing Arsenal we willing to meet his ambitions and value his talents.
He then travelled to London to meet the Gunners coaching staff, and arrange his schooling situation, he will not link up with Arsenal until he turns 16 in September 2008. It is expected that he will play with Steve Bould’s Under 18s.
Name: Oguzhan Özyakup
Age: 15
Nationality: Dutch
Position: Central Midfield
Previous Clubs: AZ Alkmaar
Contract : Scholarship
