Here’s a bunch…

Why not… We don’t have a lot of time for this, what with the CL, the EC and the Olympics coming up!

So let’s look at our players for the future:

Here’s the nominees:

Ibrahim Afellay
Ishmael Aissati
Otman Bakkal
Tim Vincken
Luigi Bruins
Adwele Slory
Jonathan de Guzman
Siem de Jong
Daniel de Ridder
Royston Drenthe
Maceo Rigters
Ryan Babel
Hedwiges Maduro
Nordin Amrabat
Barazite (Arsenal)

I am hesitant to put KJ Huntelaar on this list… Is he still “a talent” or has he arrived….?

1) Drenthe
2) Babel
3) Afellay

Although I feel Afellay and Babel are already the present. They still have to demonstrate with the national team but in my opinion they are both ready.

1. Tim Krul
2. Drenthe
3. Afellay
4. Bruins
5. Aissati
6. Donk

Babel and Maduro don’t seem to me that should belong to this list, although they really are still young.

Forgot my list:

1. Afellay
2. Maduro
3. Bruins

I agree with the grey line between arrived players and talents, but there ya go. Tim Krul was a player I forgot. Goalie in England, right?

Difficult for me to say because I haven’t seen half of them play, but from the ones I’ve seen play:

Royston Drenthe
Ibrahim Afellay
Luigi Bruins

So who’s the guy in the video Jan?

here’s how he looks;

http://www.ajax.nl/web/show/id=45609/dbid=11155/team=1/typeofpage=55719

did some reading up; i know he played some games at the start of the season 2007 (played a game v Rangers) and trained with the first team until he got injured in oktober, he now plays with Jong-ajax (youth team of Ajax) but even there he isnt a regular…maybe this info is dated but this was the situation 2 months ago…me guess isnt in the U21 team at the moment

He’s my shot in the dark. I’ve never seen him play to be honest, but a left-winger with a name like that, he’s got to make it big…hahaha

I’ve been keeping an eye on John Goossens too since he’s a star in the 2005 u17 euro champ and world cup, along with Krul, Bisewar, Sarpong, Anita, Marcellis, Emnes, etc.
He and Sarpong (or Anita) caught the eye of Arnesan at Chelsea after that tournament and luckily they rejected that.

Sarpong gets a couple of games at Ajax first team latey, lot’s of praise for him in the latest 2nd leg playoff match report against Heerenveen.

Too bad Krul’s been injuried for months, would like to see him at Olympics, although he won’t play anyways.

Really hope to see Goossens playing for Ajax first team next season, I think Van Basten kind of like him too. Marco once invited him and Anita to train with the national team.

Jan another really good ones are Rodney Sneijder, Geoffrey Castillion and Boy Waterman. Sneijder and Castillion are playing in the U-17 Championships, and they lost their first match 3-0 to turkey, Castillion got 7 goals in 5 matches in qualifying. THey both have a contract with Ajax.

If you let me use them.

1. Drenthe
2. Castillion
3. Siem de Jong

If not.

1. Drenthe
2. Siem de Jong
3. Affelay

Well done folks! A real community blog. I did miss out on some real talents there. Marcellis… Waterman… Sorry for that :-).

That kid Van Velzen I think is a son of a Dutch dad and Suriname mum I suppose. I don’t know a lot about him but spotted this clip on YouTube.

i havent watched much of these yong players who play in dutch league.
i once or twice watched de ridder play for b’gham during mid october n he was outstanding. Babel needs to improve much bcoz he looks somewhat disappointing during the course of the match but he can surprise the defenders with his great run n sooting skill. Drenthe looks impressive n he is the future. got great pace good mentalilty n good physiccal stregth
