Gwynn, I agree that Rafael is a very important player for us.

But, if you had to pick one Most Important player I think it would be hard not to pick Edwin van der Sar..

vdv is the most important player for the oranje. whether that means he plays against serbia banged up or waits to play argentina. we shall see.

I doubt that. If VDV can play without any complaints in his foot, then he’ll put him on. But Van Basten would not hesitate leaving him on the bench if he is not yet 100%. He will be crucial for the Argentina match.

vd Vaart has a reaction in his ankle but not the same spot. It seems maybe he has forced too much and sort of put too much strain on other parts of his ankle to compensate for the injured part. Something like that. He’ll be ok, I guess. If he is close to being fit, v Basten will use him against S&M.

Van der vaart will make it. Im pretty sure for that, and if he doesnt, who would you want to trade him in for? Robben and cocu are fine. Its the same when we play football, we get muscle kramps the next day and some bruises. We’ll be fine. Cheers

Yeah, I read the article in Dutch (my Dutch is fluent) and we do not have to worry about Robben and Cocu, it seems. Just some minor left overs from the Cameroon match. Man, that silly author of the Singapore Death Cheating article… Can’t get over it…:-)

Pijntjes means small pains.

The dutch love to make things small by putting ‘tje’ at the end..

ie: The dutch don’t drink beer. They drink small beers. Or biertjes. (Eventhough the glass may be half a foot tall.)

Cocu and Robben’s injuries don’t sound too serious though.
