Weekend stuff

In the run up to another big midweek with second leg CL football coming our way….

KJH scored a beauty for Real Madrid again. The Merenguez couldn’t win vs Atletico this time around, but for now I’m just keeping myself happy with little peak performances of our lads. Robin didn’t play – bar some minutes – against Burnsley. Didn’t get to see a lot of other action in England. And Madrid has been covered in all the comments.

In Holland, Feyenoord faired best (ok, AZ faired best of all, but that’s not new anymore… Van Gaal is on his way to “be the best of the nation” again)…

Feyenoord won against NAC (a rival for the UEFA Cup positions) while other clubs close to the Stadium club lost: NEC couldn’t win against AZ, Vitesse was whipped by Volendam and FC Utrecht dropped points as well.

Feyenoord is no. 10 and with a potential cup-win for Twente or NAC, the number 10 position could be enough for Feyenoord. The Red-Whites are 5 points behind NEC now…

Good news from Rotterdam: Jordao Pattinama (Ton Pattinama’s son) made his debut for the first Dutch EC winner, another young talent gaining some experience. Jon Dahl Tomasson is back and made the difference for Feyenoord: coaching his mates, challenging the ref, boosting up the fans and….scoring a winner.
