Watch out for Argentina
I don’t say that because of their overwhelming skill or impressive play but because of their tendency to flail about on the pitch like codfish on the deck of a boat. It’s absolutely disgraceful.
I counted five separate incendents where Argentine players blatantly, obviously, ridiculously went to ground after - at most - an inoccuous challenge. Even their captain, Sorin, was guilty of it twice. Along with Sorin, Riquelme, Maschareno and Saviola were offenders. Saviola even succeeded in getting Eboue booked. I should also point out that I didn’t start keeping track until the second half: make your own conclusions.

Another reason to watch out: they can play great football! And Ivory Coast too!!! I am a bit worried, amigos. These teams are shrewd, tough and pretty physical… Will Robin, Wesley, Arjan and Gio cs hold their own?

I agree with Mike here, Argentinian football is so not Joga Bonito ![]()
Well, at least we ain’t a physical team, and as the refs have said that they want to catch divers, maybe they’ll catch on to the argtines…
Hopefully

I dont know why im not being able to post comments on this blog site anymore. Frustrating..

Oh .. Something’s changed
I think we can win both of the teams Argentina and Ivory coast. Or at least draw against them easily.
If we play and force them to play at a much slower pace, we would suck their liveliness out of the game. So we really need to dictate the tempo as it pleases us..
You guys saw amazing football out there last night between the two teams.. And its true both of them were amazing. But thats only becuast they were playing at a very impressive fast pace. If we slow that down and play quasi-boring football :):), we’ll be good. Trust me guys.

In other words… Focus and play our own game. And not theirs.

At least they’re still good. USA looked okay and we did terrible. Be thankful your (and I’m assuming you’re from Argentina) team can play.
