He would be succesful in a team like Manchester City which is a club that wants to grow, has money and needs players like van der Vaart but I agree with you, he has to leave Madrid at the end of the season. Ferenc, about Madrid, it´s true that they are not the best version of Real Madrid but they have been the Champions of La Liga twice in a row and although in the CL they have failed badly in the last five years, Madrid is the biggest team in football history. 9 Champions League speak for itself and they will bounce back in Europe pretty soon, they are not among the best of the world right now and I agree with you on that but because of their history they will always be followed and considered as a top team. Our backfour isn't all that bad, sure it's not like they're all Roberto Carlos, Nesta or Terry, but England with hyped up, Terry, Ferdinand, A.Cole didn't even qualify for the EC. It's not specificaly about the quality of defenders. You can win a title even with a "mediocre" defence, you just need to build in extra safety, that's where De Jong-V.Bommel-De Zeeuw-Schaars come into the picture.
