Van Gaal in wheelchair and other kids’ stories

I’m sorry, I just think it’s funny. In particular with the memory of his karare kick during the Ajax AC Milan CL finals in 1995… :-) .

I remember thinking, man, you’ll tear every muscle you’ve got! But it happened this weekend! The former Best of the World gave some sort of guest lecture on the Sports Academy (where he studiet and taught before becoming loud and obnoxious). He wanted to demonstrate some sort of typical Dutch long pole jump technique and broke his leg on two spots… Now he has to spend a couple of weeks in a wheelchair. I’m sorry, if it happened to Koster, Wouters or Jans I wouldn’t think it was funny… but with Louis… I don’t know… sue me…

PSV lost the first match under Jan Wouters against Heerenveen. Jan Kromkamp scored the winner. For Heerenveen, that is…

In the meantime, PSV has to wait with signing Martin Jol. The former Spurs coach hasn’t reached an agreement with Tottenham about his exit fee. Once Jol signs for PSV he sort of waivers his rights and the man from Scheveningen is too shrewd to do that. And rightfully so, of course.

AZ Alkmaar won at home again… It was about time. They beat NEC with 4-0. Demy de Zeeuw played again and scored the fourth goal.

In England, Van der Sar’s Man United drew against Van Persie’s Arsenal, 2-2. As ever, it was an exciting match, with Gallas scoring Arsenal’s equalizer in the dying seconds. Van Persie didn’t play due to his injury of course.

Real Madrid lost their away game against Sevilla, 2-1. Van Nistelrooy played the whole match, Sneijder was rested. The Merenguez played a big portion of the match with ten man due to Ramos being red-carded.

Jan – Real lost 2-0 and Van Nistelrooy was subbed late in the second half for Baptista.

Real played terrible and deserved to lose. It was a terrible game, both teams playing very dirty, but at least Sevilla played enough football in between to get a couple of goals. I don’t know if Sneijder would have made a difference because he’s been pretty anonymous lately, but Guti was terrible by himself in midfield.

On the other hand, the Arsenal vs. Man U game was a very nice game to watch. Arsenal played better overall, but Man U made it difficult for them and managed to get a couple of goals as well.

Caleb, you’re right of course… That was a typo. Just read that Sneijder wasn’t rested but that he had a minor injury. Funny with Guti, sometimes he is brilliant, other times he is utterly crap…

I heard Real wants to sell him? While Schuster, when asked which player of his squad reminded him of him, answered: Guti, without thinking.

I say sell him, he seems to have a lot more of the utter crap lately than the brilliance. They really need someone with more consistency. Kaka would be great, but probably not going to happen. Fabregas is great too, but not going to happen. I don’t know who else would be great.. maybe Seedorf again?? Then we could see Seedorf and Sneijder in the same team, haha.

Lerkot: yeah, but lately he’s been pretty consistent.. at least a lot better than guti. But mostly it was a joke.
