I do believe van der vaart will prove crucial for the Dutch squad to score. He will be the playmaker to look after.

Correct me if im wrong but I feel that if van basten does not rely on van nistelrooy too much but rather on the likes of van der vaart, sneijder and robben and others, van nistelrooy will end up with a lot of goals at the back of the net. Its the pressure that might break him. But if the coach gives him equal importance on the pitch as his teammates, the prolific striker will be able to shine again.

I’m not too sure about the pressure breaking Ruud. Its absolutely possible but I think Ruud has always handled pressure well.

Remember the penalty against Arsenal to end their unbeaten run? I’m sure he was standing at the spot remembering the last time he took a penalty against Arsenal, to win the match, and missed. So what does he do? Steps up and smashes it home.

True. I guess I mean when he’s on a bad run. And he is now obviously (well so far until proven otherwise). He’s had his chances in the matches before the one against Charlton. He missed them. Of course there were so many problems and therefore under a lot of pressure to overcome that bad run. He couldn’t..

Remember – the guy is second on the topgoalscorers sheet, but he only scored a very small number of goals the second half of the season. Only until end april did Henry bypass him. Unfortunately :(

I hope on saturday this drought ends.. I still feel what i said is true though. If van basten will put all the load on van nistelrooy to score and win the game I think this will further worsten things for the striker. On the other hand if the buildup and pressure comes from elsewhere i think van nistelrooy will slowly but surely find his playing ways again.

PS: i dont know why it says im from russia lol. Thats incorrect. I’m Lebanese, in Lebanon, but a die-hard dutch fan !!
