I would also throw Davids into the mix as a holding mid or on the left. Sneijder could also play on the right. Lots of flexibility. I would love to see RvN up front with Van Persie as a shadow. I mean, van Basten thinks that he has no quality?. He is so wrong and many of you guys think the same. When you have Seedorf, van Bommel, van Nistelrooy, Makaay and even Zenden and Davids then you have to use those players. In a few years most of these players will retire from soccer but for me all of them have to be considered. Davids is not the same as he was 5 years ago but he still can add something to the Oranje, perhaps he might not be a starter and I guess he will not argue that like 11 years ago in Euro 96 but in the minutes he gets and the knowledge he can pass to the younger lads, that has to be gold to foment a strong mentalily because Davids has such a strong personality. Scouting mediocre foreign players show that he thinks there are no better options in Holland. Well, he says Ruud need warmth, Ruud does not need that!!!. Ruud needs motivation as any player or member of team or of a company, when you are the leader of the group you have to know how to motivate your players otherwise you are a bad leader and the results will be bad. van Basten started ok as a coach because most of the players had him as an idol, but now that he has shown no confidence in most of them that feeling has grown into most of the players emotions and the results and type of play has gotten worst and worst. He does not how to manage top players and if he thinks the motivation comes from nothing he is totally wrong, a leader has to add something to his people and then each player will add his own mental strenght but if you do not have confidence and back your players when they most need it then the players will turn their back on you and I have the feeling that is happpening right now with the Dutch National team. I think Makaay was very irritated when he once was left out of the squad and that triggered MvB to leave him out. There is no I in team and all that....
