Upset for Zenden
Former PSV, Barcelona and Chelsea star Boudewijn “Bolo” Zenden was surfing a cracker wave at Liverpool at last… After being injured at the start of the season he fought his way back into the starting eleven and saw his performance rewarded by San Marco’s invite to – at long last – come back in the Oranje group. That would be a fitting finale, right after the upcoming CL finals he was set to play against AC Milan. But fate happened. Last week, at training, the 30-year old left-footer sprayed his ankle. The big question mark now screams: will Bolo be fit in time for the CL finals and will he able to join Marco’s boys for the Asia trip.
“Bolo has become very important for us,” Liverpool manager Benitez quipped. “His strength, experience and tactical savvyness helped us tremendously over the last weeks.I do hope, with his strong physique, that he will be able to get fit before the finals, but it will a very close call….”
Too bad, its hard to dislike Zenden. He is not a very good player anymore but he does a job.
@Lerkot; well that never was a big problem for me.. never liked him BUT have to say that i was pretty impressed with him the other day.. saw him a few times at Middlesborough and he sucked.. hope hell make it in time..always nice to see dutch players play in these big games..
