Secondly, the two are pretty different players, meaning that ManU would not view sneijder as a cheaper alternative to hargreaves. Therefore, they would have to dig very deep in their coffers to afford both players. Also hargreaves is english (technically anyway) so that makes him a more likely transfer target for a premiership club (for example arsenal who doesnt have a lot of english players are often critisized for that, think of PSV in our case as well). And perhaps most important, I think that the man u scouts are smart enough to realize that sneijder is easily injured and therefore not well suited to play in the premiership.
