Transfers Pt 2

This title will be seen more often in the not too distant future…

Bayern person (can’t really think of his official title, but I do know the Bayern board hates his guts :-) ) Franz Beckenbauer declared that Owen Hargreaves will leave to play for Manchester United for at least 23 Mio Euros. (That is 10 M Euros more than Ajax wants for Sneijder… What the hell??). That money will/could be used to buy Arjen Robben from Chelsea. The left footed magician is said to have a troubled relationship with Mourinho (can’t really tell from what I see on telly though) and his effectiveness is questioned with The Blues.

Why doesn’t Man Utd go for Sneijder?? They need some intelligence in midfield. Giggs is over the hill-ish, Scholes is the only player with a brain on Man’s midfield (with all due respect for Fletcher and all those other players there…). Add Huntelaar and Sir Alex is in business.

Got an interesting comment: it seems Manchester City is getting some fresh money in and are looking to sign either Ranieri or Adriaanse to put City back where they belong…

Because they were looking for a defensive midfielder. Not a creative one, they got a couple of those.

He Carrington… :-) … There certainly is more and more speculation about Hunter goin’ to Man Utd LOL :-)

Lerkot, who are the creative midfielders at Man Utd? Scholes, yes. Giggs, on his way out, but yes… But other than that? Don’t want to sound disrespectful or anything, but are we talking Carrack, Fletcher? I don’t see it…

ManU isn’t interested in sneijder for a few reasons, first they have been after hargreaves for a while and he is definitely their main targer. Secondly, the two are pretty different players, meaning that ManU would not view sneijder as a cheaper alternative to hargreaves. Therefore, they would have to dig very deep in their coffers to afford both players. Also hargreaves is english (technically anyway) so that makes him a more likely transfer target for a premiership club (for example arsenal who doesnt have a lot of english players are often critisized for that, think of PSV in our case as well). And perhaps most important, I think that the man u scouts are smart enough to realize that sneijder is easily injured and therefore not well suited to play in the premiership.

…plus i think that sneijder will do very well in la liga, the guy has the skills and vision to really be a star in the type of football played in spain, so i hope he doesn’t end up at manU.
