Transfer rumours etc.

Mbark Boussoufa has agreed to play for Morocca’s national football team. He was apparently born in the Netherlands and was even supposedly in line for a Dutch cap but has decided his international future lies with Morocco. Given the Dutch’s strength in midfield it is probably a wise move for a young player who wants to raise his profile through the international scene.

I’ll be honest; I’ve never even heard of the kid but Marco Van Basten has proven time and again that he knows how to pick the young ones.

Also, George Boateng could be on his way to Celtic as Gordan Strachan looks to stengthen his midfield. The pressure to succeed in Europe has grown after their Old Firm rivals Rangers gained relative success in the competition this year.

Mark van Bommel is still seen as a good replacement for the departing Michael Ballack.

Lastly, Romeo Castelen is being looked at by Manchester City. The winger is a possible summer target given the two clubs have a history of working together.
