Transfer news pt 5?

After signing Bert van Marwijk and Tim De Cler, Feyenoord assured itself of Gio van Bronckhorst services. The Barcelona man will sign for three years with his old love. He’ll get the number 8 implying that Gio will play on midfield. Earlier, Feyenoord signed Slory and Luigi Bruins of Excelsior.

The arrival of Roy Makaay is now only a matter of time. The Dutch club started negotiations with the former Vitesse striker.

It seems Danny Koevermans is out of the question. AZ recently stated that they will not let the Koev go. Not to Feyenoord, not to Nurnberg….nowhere.

And, a bit upsetting for the Feyenoord fans, Royston Drenthe is negotiating with….Real Madrid. The Spanish paper AS stated that Real badly wants to sign the “best left foot of the decennium”… Good for Royston, bad for Feyenoord.

And I just read that Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath confirmed that Kevin Hofland will move to Feyenoord as well…

Life’s gooooood :-) .

It’s nice to see the big Dutch teams signing and predominantly playing Dutch players, except PSV. I hope PSV finishes 4th behind Ajax, Feyenoord and AZ(no particular order) to teach them a lesson :-)
I want to see the Dutch teams excelling and playing in Europe with Dutch players.

Now I am curious how well is Feyenoord going to cope with this influx of new transfers.Well, I bet they will do better than last season, eh? ;)

yea, id love to see that happening stephen.

Im sick and tired of seeing big clubs sucking the blood out of our great talents.. and worse spoiling them with their conservative conventional crappy tactics.

Jan should make a list of players who were deemed great talents when they started in holland, and then went abroad and failed, or were ruined, or spoiled, or whatever..

Sad.
I hope the same mistakes wont be repeated by that new wave of fresh talent we have.

And Chelsea just signed two young talents from Holland: Feyenoord player Jeffrey Bruma (15 years old) and PSV player Patrick van Aanholt (16 years old). Both players will start in the Chelsea B-team…

Hmmm…..
