Titbits…
Mark van Bommel will not play for the Olympic team in Bejing. When De Haan qualified with the U21 squad, van Bommel expressed his intrest but forgot that the Games are coinciding with Bayern Munich’s season in the Bundesliga. Mark ended all the hype by declaring he won’t even try to go to Bejing and respect the intrests of his employer.
Willem van Hanegem is the first to train all the teams in The Netherlands that he played for: Feyenoord, AZ Alkmaar, Oranje (as Dick’s assistant) and now FC Utrecht. De Kromme will be presented as the new coach for FC Utrecht after Booy left for Saudi Arabia.
Khalid Boulahrouz signed for year at Sevilla. The Cannibal and former HSV anchor couldn’t get a place in the starting line up at Chelsea and decided to go. At Sevilla, Boulah will join Ajax winger Tom van Mul (part of the Belgian U21 team).
Wesley Sneijder stated that 14 August will be his deadline for a transfer. On that day, Ajax plays the CL qualification match. Sneijder does not want to miss that match in order to remain an interesting player for other CL clubs. “If no club wants me by then, I’ll play for Ajax and will stay at least one season more.”

Babel has officially moved to Liverpool. Kinda sad, not a real fan of Liverpool and I don’t think he’s good enough (yet) for that team either. (Neither is Kuyt) I would have preferred Babel to have gone to Arsenal, like he said he would. Also Boulahrouz is only on a year loan so he could still play for Chelsea next year

what do you think, will rafa change liverpol’s style with all these new attacking options(f. torres, babel, voronin)? will kuijt and babel be in the starting eleven? actually i think babel is more skilled than kuijt but i don’t know exactly that he is a winger a real striker or what? maybe in between… not too sure about boulah’s future in the liga: technically he’s not a top player and too brutal for spain. he should have moved to italy.
i hope sneijder will stay because it would be nice to see a new great ajax.

i fink kuyt will stay as a forward with torres, and benitez will use babel as a left winger. i fink babel has the ability to make it as a winger coz he has skill pace and a good eye for passing. Im a big arsenal fan but i wont be too displeased if liverpool do well either as long as kuyt and babel do well haha also i fink boulha will do well at sevilla
