The van Basten Revolution

June 5th, 2006 | By: Mike | 7 Comments »

Ruud van Nistelrooy has praised Marco van Basten’s “revolution” in the squad after taking over. The exit of some of the older players does not worry Ruud and he is impressed by the young talent that van Basten has brought it, making particular reference to Hedwiges Maduro.

Oke, if some one is going to get replaced, we know by who. Van Basten called up Schaars and De jong to join the national team with in training today. This is done incase anyone the three midfielders, cocu, van der vaart or sneijder are not fit in time for the world cup. Jaliens and Van Bronckhorst are sure to be fit before the finals. For anyone that can read dutch, here is the link. http://www.vi.nl/vi/show/id=239659/contentid=80280/msnhome=true/sc=94d713

well i think vam basten is not that good of a coach .. the fact that sedoff is not in the team proves me correct (i mean hes won champions League wat like 3 or 4 times) Any way hes just like the french coach .. a bit dumb if u ask me .. i think this is the diffrenc in holland winning the WC this yr and not .. otherwise you got a good team .. robben and van percie are very very good and so is van nisteroid .. there were eating up the australian players

Id watch out what you say about our coach marco. He is a very young skillfull coach, and no body questions him. clarence is a foolish player from what ive seen on the field. \\he is to full of him self, and that does not suite the mew dutch football image. Eeryone in Holland is behind van basten, so i would not question him like that in a dutch blog. We’ve done fine without clarence right? Watchout with what come out of your mouth.

agree Martijn, no foolish talk about San Marco.
i think the real revolution is Marco breeking up ‘DE KABEL (wich means cable, as in a chain,: referring to the Surinam players who wanted surinam food, wanted to sit on a seperate table on were a group within the group)’
with Seedorf, Davids, Kluivert missing we got a real team. Seedorf is a very good player but only when he has a free role on midfield like he has with AC Milan and other players do his deffensife duties.

ps. need opinions on our friends the germans:are they as bad as they look??, can they go all the way?? Lately im getting this shitty feeling that their gonna do well.

WIJ HOUDEN VAN ORANJE!!

Never underestimate Ze Zjermans, is wot I say. They’re tougfh, they can fight, they do have good players (Schweinsteiger, Ballack) and they would have scored at least 4 of the 8 opportunities Holland missed against Oz. (Although Ze Zjermans would’ve created these chances in the first place of course :-))
