Thanks Genio and Jan for digging out the quiz. And thanks to all of you guys for the kind words of support. Here in the US women do indeed get everything in a divorce and then some. And Goose, the difference between me and a certain ex-Beatle is that he can actually afford paying a few hundred million dollars:-) Anyway, back to the topic. Here are the answers:

1) Jan (and Dirk if I remember correctly) is indeed correct here. These players all scored in a EC/CL final. Actually not only did they score, their respective teams all won the title thanks to the Dutch scorers. In fact Gullit & Van Basten managed to both score twice in the same final as Milan killed Steua Bucharest 4-0 in 1989 at Neu Camp!!

2) Dirk actually got this one right. He also knew when it happened. The easy guess is Arsenal (which I guessed too, as they are the main proponent of this today, and has been for quite a few seasons). However, it is wrong. The first EPL team to field a complete starting lineup without any British players was actually Chelsea back in December of 1999 against Southampton

3) This one nobody got correct. The right answer is actually Celta Vigo who stayed undefeated at home in La Liga in the 1970/71 season. I believe they actually ended 5th or 6th in that year. If we had been following Spanish football closer (or spoke the language better) we may have known the answer because this feat earned them thier nickname, which evidently is "the giant killers".

4) Dirk got this one correct too. The quote is actually contributed to Mia Hamm...But since it is so good, I would not be surprised if she actually has "borrowed" it from somewhere else...Although I have not been able to find any direct link to Bryan Robson or anyone else other than Mia.

5) several got this one correct. AC Milan was indeed founded by a couple of English chaps as a cricket club!! I bet quite a few teams wish they had stayed playing that sport:-) Hence "Milan" and not "Milano". Also as someone pointed out, the right side of their club symbol has the St George's cross in it

6)Dirk and others got this too. In the early 70'ies Bennie Muller (Ajax Physio by then) had to wear his lucky ski hat before every game. He also evidently had to buy a supply of special Osseworst sausage from a Kosher butcher in Beethovenstraat...Those Ajax teams was absulutely classics! Imagine how much fun it would be to be around that dressing room?

7)Dirk, Jan, and others got this aswell. It is a very funny story. The USA trainer had to be carried off unconscious during the 1930 World Cup Semi-Final against Argentina after he ran to the pitch to attend an injured player, dropped his medicine box, and broke a bottle of chloroform. When he tried to pick up the broken bottle, he took in the fumes and fell to the ground immediately and had to be carried off unconscious...

The injured player recovered without any treatment!...Some even claims that the player actually was the first documented "diver" in WC history, ...and also was a Portuguese immigrant and faint relative of Cristiano Ronaldo's grandfather:-)

Next Quiz coming up in 1 sec...enjoy!!
