I think Maarten is in the middle of a vicious circle. He lost his spot because he's not doing good this season. He is benched now, and will probably leave to a bigger and harder championship, where he hopes to have a first-choice spot guaranteed. And that's the point: how can he gain this spot playing in another country if he's a sub at Ajax? Manchester United, Inter, Liverpool, at last, all the heavyweights (and even the medium-size clubs, like, say, Fiorentina, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Valencia) will never contract a goalie which is not playing good. But Stekelbaars should not worry. There's a great solution to his problem. It's called TRAINING. More and more and more. Non-stop. 18-hours-a-day/7-days-a-week. It's the one and only way to achieve what he wants - become the definitive sucessor to Sar. But, acting like a whiny baby, he will soon become a never-will-be. That's his choice. Thanks Jan!
