Some random news-items
Hi all, from a wet and economically depressed Australia your host with most is back! Here’s some titbits… Keep posted for a look back at Oranje 1983 later on….
Feyenoord lost 1-0 to PSV, the Eindhoven club is now the leader in the competition. Otmar Bakal scored the only goal. PSV was the better side but Feyenoord played at least 30 minutes with ten men when Nicky Hofs was sent off (two yellows). PSV was coached by interim coach Sef Vergoosen for the first time. He relieved Jan Wouters and will be in charge till the end of the season when Harter Hund (tough dog) Huub Stevens takes the reigns in Eindhoven.
Hedwiges Maduro will leave Ajax and move to Spain or Italy. The young talented midfielder is unhappy in Amsterdam and doesn’t see any future in Amsterdam for himself. The surprising move back to Ajax from PSV this winter by Kenneth Perez made Maduro redundant. Maduro is currently flirting with Ronald Koeman’s Valencia. Perez is basically Sneijder’s replacement at Ajax. He will start against AZ Alkmaar as will one Edgar Davids.
Raf van der Vaart and Romeo Castelen impressed in the friendly against China in Dubai. The HSV captain scored twice and had the assist for Castelen in the 4-0 win.

psv played rather well .. Feyenoord looked like it had no ideas…they need a strong playmaker on midfield, Makaay was isolated most of the match,it should have been 3 or 4-0 ..
the Perez move (Ajax to Psv and back to Ajax within a year is a laugh .. bad managent by Psv director Jan Reker who played a vital rol also in the Koeman saga
Maduro should be a bit more humble .. he hasnt played a decent game in ages, it would surprise me if he would make the EC08 selection (but with vanBasten you never know!!)

Ruud is the best player of the world!!!.
Sometimes he doesn’t get much attention because he is not a player like Messi or Henry that play beautiful but I really think Ruud is up there with the 3 best players of the world. He simply doesn’t stop scoring, a guarantee and since he left Manchester he has even played better scoring from outside the box, playing more for the team and being a true leader.
Maduro is a good prospect and it would be magnificent if he goes to Valencia. I also want to see to what team Rafa will move next year. Will it be Barcelona?.

Miguel Rosado - he’s a special guy. technically he’s not too good but he’s like gerd muller. but i really, really would like that oranje profite more from his killer instinct. at barcelona they don’t talk about rafael. at least not yet. i imagine him there in only one case - if deco goes somewhere.

goose: how was ajax-az,edgar’s return? i know the result, but was the difference really so huge?

@ferenc: The 4-4-2 system will be good to Ruud because he’ll get more balls. I think Deco will leave this next season.

@ferenc; Davids played pretty ok .. think its especially importent to have a player with those ‘leader’qualities on the pitch .. think hes about the only player these young (arrogant) players look up to….Davids can teach them how to be a pro football player
Az played better than Ajax in the first half, Demi de Zeeuw was red carded (wrongly) and after that Az didnt have a change …
btw ferenc; saw a great hungarian player this weekend, he plays on the left for Psv and his name is Dzsudzsak… did you ever hear of this guy??? he played very good the other day
@Miquel; think vdVaart will either move to Real or to Valencia … thats a guess btw; only thing i know is that the spanish side of his family (his mother is spanish) are all Real fans so my guess is Barca will be out of the question .
i know now for sure; we need to built oranje around vanNistelrooy … all need to play for him, hes the one who could bring us glory (together with vanPersie); All balls on RUUD!!!

@goose: i don’t follow too much hungarian football but heard about dzsudzsak (even as a hungarian i have problem to write correctly his name - not a typical gungarian name). everybody says that he’s very talented a bit selfish and fits perfectly to dutch football. i hope he will proove it. i’agree with you that rvn should be the man in oranje and of course clarence who was the man of the match yesterday against napoli (5-2): 1 goal,1 assist. (as you all know he’s my absolute favourite player. even leo messi and anders iniesta are behind him on my favourites’ list.))
about rafael: i heard exactly the same as you. his family is more related to this bastard club or valencia. but if rumours become reality and deco will go at the end of the season he would be the ideal solution to replace him. i think frankie and neeskens (and of course johan) have the contavts to bring him in the camp nou. if they really wont him. to be honest i haven’t heard anything about it. my personal opinion: deco is really good but not as good as 2 years ago and he gets more often injured. it means that rafael could have a brilliant future at barca. if not he should choose valencia. go to real (for a dutch player) is a sin for me. unfortunately they don’t mind about my opinion, hahaha:-))) but i’m quite sure that cruijff has the same opinion.

about ruud: people say that ramos or robinho or raul are they key for madrid’s succes. they are wrong. the masterminds behind madrid’s successes are ruud and casillas. the best keeper of the world (with gigi buffon) and the best avant-center of the world 8with samuel eto’o).
against mallorca they were beaten in the cup 2-1. almost the whole team played except ruud and casillas. these two guys make the difference 8and sometimes the referees.)
