So what does the future bring???

It’s hard, isn’t it? I mean, we are all a bit unhappy with how things are going, and that in itself is a shame. Because we too loved and adored San Marco as a player, didn’t we? To see him fail is just sad. So what to we pray for, when we address the Football Gods? Do we pray for van Basten resigning the job? Leaving the team in uncertainty right in the middle of our EC campaign? And then what? Someone else steps in, say Co Adriaanse… And what will he do? Talk Van the Man and Bommel back in the squad. And get Seedorf back. And then what? We’ll have the same type of situation, really. He’ll try out new players, players he knows from his AZ days… Will he get the team swinging? Big question, eh?

And if Marco stays on, there is still a chance that we’ll do fine at the EC. We may not win it, but every one could save face, and Marco could move on to newer pastures… Maybe take a year off and when Henk ten Cate moves on to – say – Chelsea, or AC Milan Marco could finally run Ajax.

What is it that we want? Do we really want Van back? Will Mark van Bommel really make the difference?

With Seedorf in midfield, along side Sneijder, van der Vaart and a breaker (Schaars?), Marco should use van Persie and Kuyt up front. Bench Robben and Huntelaar and get some razorsharp defending going and stop all that talk of dominant playing… Just get out there, win games, score goals and get that European Cup.

Your feelings?

did anybody saw vanderVaarts tackle last saterday..disgrace!! havent seen anything like it for some time..think he should go look for antother club cause HSV is going down!!

Landzaat at the back??? Why?? Please leave him out, what about (left to right)

de Cler – Mathijssen – Boula – Ooijer

vdVaart – Seedorf – vanBommel

Persie vanNistelrroy – Kuyt

manager: HIDDINK (haha), but true Robbert, vanBasten wont leave early im sure, hell leave after we f@cked up the EC 08…

btw. have very high opinion on de Cler, hes really playing very well this season and he has great atacking qualities..
btw2. Schaars is for sure someone for the future, great player

Agree with Goose on DeCler…
But why Landzaat at the back? Because the key to dominant football is to have an allrounder in center defense. A guy who can play with confidence, who can defend, pass, come up on midfield, who sees the game, can organize and communicate. In my view, Ooijer, Boulah, Matijssen…they’re “just” defenders. Even Stam couldn’t do this in his good years. You need someone with the skills of Blind, R Koeman, J Wouters, W Jonk, F Rijkaard or Cocu for a position like that. And guess what? All former midfielders…

my wishlist is the same as goose’s with one possible difference: i hesitate between hiddink and rijkaard… actually, frank proved yesterday that he’s very good in strategy too: barca played exactly what needed. maybe hiddink until 2010,and after hiddink rijkaard :-)

My Christmas list?

1 – No Van Basten (anyone else will be better)
2 – No Van Bronckhorst (Emanuelson or de Cler doesn’t matter)
3 – No 4-3-3 but 4-4-2 with Van Persie behind the striker and Van der Vaart at the left.

1. agree (HIDDINK, vanMarwijk, Jol, Rijkaard)

2. hes losing his place with Barcelona aswell (altough an extra year contract)

3. agree, with Bommel en Seedorf as midfielders aswell, think that vanPersie is a waste as left winger but the midfield still stays a problem

i think van basten is getting rid of all the good players so that he and his friend van’t schip will be able to make the team again without being embarrassed…

Don’t you trust the coach? He’s not the worst one (but incomparable, concerning Scolari, of course).

what do you mean Stam?? I mean were all getting embarrassed right now cause the way we play…vanBasten should be embarrassed in the way he treated many players….

@Luis: sorry my dear friend, missed your little comment, sorry..nice to hear some different opinions on Ronaldo for a change (yes, we all hate him and we all hate your wanking team of handbags),my sugestion is you stay on your; I love Ronaldo and he gives me a hard on – blog’ and stay away from here…WANKER

@goose… it was a joke… i meant that van basten was getting rid of the good players so that he himself can play on the team again… if van basten (42) plays with landzaat, and maduro he will still look good cause those players are so s***… where as bommel, and seedorf will humiliate him on the training pitch… good post on luis… that was hillarious…

Goose, your post on Ronaldo was absolutely uncouth and undeserving of a public forum. Please …if you are so emotional at least a football blog is not the place to show it off.

did any of you see Ajax yesterday? Huntelaar scored twice but more interesting was that Heitinga played as a libero (?) just in front of the defence and it worked pretty well, im not a great Heitinga fan but he could be a good defencife midfield player, hes passing is ok and hes a great header of the ball, we can play him in front of Boula and Mathijssen and behind Seedorf/Schaars etc.

interesting to see how vanNistelrooy will cope now that Ronaldo is fit again (and scoring goals), still believe Ruud will be back in Oranje next year..

our club football isnt as bad as i thought: if Heerenveen wins tonight will have 4 clubs in the UEFA cup next year (Ajax, feyenoord, AZ) and ofcourse PSV in the Champ. leguea, not bad for clubs with such limited financial oppertunitys

@Stam: this Luis ass**** is the boss on the portugal-blog, i posted a very mild comment on Ronaldo (still hate him, haha), and he didnt post my comment, looks like he cant handle any different opinions
but in case hes still on this blog: Luis, Ronaldo is a cheating little gay-lord and everybody outside soutern-europe hates him, get used to it!!

goose!
Heitinga played infront of back4 very well under Advocaat.Marco never try him there may be he prefer Cocu to Johnny.

Not any defensive mid-fielder played well under Basten still. He should be called back for that.
Hunter scored 5 for two matches.
good to see him in form again while Kuyt hard to find the target.

@sfinx, that right!! Maybe Heitinga is the solution altough he still has moments of insecurity (but this will be less if hes not the last one in defence anymore..

good to see all our strikers performe; Ruud scored the winner for Madrid, makaay played very good and scored aswell (i know hes not an oranje-speler), Huntelaar is back in form, he scored some very strong goals…what a talent

true, Kuyt misses sharpness last couple of games but remember he makes life easier for his partner-strikers!

Hello people, anybody there, anybody wanna talk Oranje?? Dont know whats going on on this blog but i will just keep writing comments eventough there’s nobody to read them……talk to me

its a long 3 weeks until our next match on 24-03 at home in de Kuip against Romania but things are getting more interesting as we go along

the only real news has been that vanBasten went to Madrid to talk to vanNistelrooij and try to work out their problems but…no peace between them, vanBasten couldnt give Ruud the confidence the latter wanted (and needs) so he thanked vanBasten and both went their own ways…..to bad, no vanNistelrooij until vanBasten leaves..

anybody see vanBommel against Real, the goal was fine but he played a marvelous game, anoying, agressive, he even almost attackt one of his teammates (think it was Podolski) they almost had a fight on the pitch, he was so fired up, brilliant, we need a player like that in Oranje, on the edge, a fighter….well

Yes Goose! you and I seem to be the only ones on this blog that regard Van Bommel as the great asset that he is to Oranje line-up; everybody else seems excited for Seedorf, don’t know why? What happened to Jan? Maybe he is traveling or went on a walk about, or whatever it is they do in Australia? Soon we will all have to go to the portuguese blog, although I’m sure we are all banned, they only want delusional fans that think Portugal is a separate race of people groomed for football and diving.
