Like how did you come to love Ajax, can you watch the Dutch games on French tv, how long are you following this blog, which other teams do you support/like, etc. Always great to have “new” people on board. Well i’m French and a great fan of Ajax , i’m devastated that Sneijder quits Ajax , i would have loved that that he stayed , great player that he is , i really hope Huntelaar won’t be sold for nothing like the others .. he needs to stay at Ajax ..

Bosman is indeed a tragedy for Dutch , Portuguese , French football etc.. all the football that produce and form talented players , it is killing the formation slowly and the benefit of having good youth systems for clubs relying on it , it’s a shame , an all this regulation to please the richer clubs with no merits whatsoever , no soul or identity at all ..

@Ishmael: youre abso. right that after the Bosman arrest (which you ofcourse are familiar with) it became very difficult for dutch clubs to keep and to get top players..well never be as strong as the 70’s or 80’s in our club football…. we can still be the best with our national team…. and please my friend; never talk about yourself in the 3 person: “ishmael does not live like that”, hahahahaha

IS funny…people who has differend view in the world are always hated. I know football like every one. What is soccer anyway ? You want me to say what you say. Ishmael does not live like that. I say Dutch football was great. And my memories are loving. But today, the Oranej team is not so good as in the past. PSV got CL win in 1988? because many many draws and thanks to Van Brukelen who was best goalie in Holland ever. And Feyenoord and Ajax won in the past. Only Ajax won good in 1995, since then nothing. All Dutch teams are fading away and can’t win championship. Can’t do anything in CL and ORanje…??? Well…I like players like Vaart, Persie, Robben, Ruud van Nistelrooy but team is not good enough. You know Mario, you know.
I think if your good player, coach do not rotate. Gerrard? Lampard? Carvalho? Ruud? Never in rotation! If Gerrard play for Barca he will not be rotate. SO… Get your head out of the mud baby…

And Ronaldinho has gotten injured at some stage in his career, Ronaldo, Davids, Figo, Zidane, Pelé, Maradona, etc.
Every player now and then has to deal with injuries,it is part of sport life!.
It is true the players you mention have been injured a lot recently but not because they are whiners. Every soccer professional wants to play in most of the games and it would be very stupid to fake their injuries because in top level they have the best doctors around and if you lie about an injury you can get sack by your club. Sorry man, but your comments are very wrong, I like to respect every opinion and I respect yours but your comments show that you do not know anything about Dutch Soccer and soccer at all.
You call Dutch football the Mickey Mouse competition??? I remind you that Ajax has won 4 champions league, PSV one, Feyenoord one and I think you are making an opinion without any type of criteria.
And yes, Barca has a rotation system!. In midfield Iniesta, Deco, Edmilson, Xavi, Motta and van Bommel (last year) were rotating a lot. The forwards are Messi, Eto and Ronaldinho and they play almost every game but at the defence and midfield there is a lot of rotation last year and this year too. Marquez plays some games, then comes Thuram, Belleti plays some games, then comes Belleti-Oleguer or Zambrotta, Gio plays some games then comes Silvinho. Sorry man, you have no clue of what you are talking about, go back to watch Koalas and Rugby. You do not know anything about soccer.

No no, I call the Dutch football Mickey Mouse because the competition – not the players!! – is a bit open and attacking and well…naieve…!!! And maybe that makes good players. But some players I think are only good in Dutch School football. And Barca and rotation system?? I think Ronaldinho, Puyol, Messi always play, no? So rotation is other word for giving players chance to be important for the team but if they not than out .

i am worried about the mentality and the discipline of Dutch players. The Dutch are whiners. ALways…look Robben, Vaart, Litmanen, Ronald de Boer, now Zenden… injuries. ALways crying…

Is Sneijder, not Schneider … not because Ronald de Boer and Litmanen did not make it in Spain it means Sneijder will fail!. Every person and every player will have different scenarios in life and professional life, your comparisons seem a little bit rough for a player who has a lot of talent. Sneijder played bad at the World Cup but it was his first World Cup and the team never looked as solid as we thought it should be. Van Basten´s tactics and system did not favour Sneijder type of play.
I find it funny you call the Eredivisie the Mickey Mouse competition when that same league has produced players ad Cruyff, van Hanagem, van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Bergkamp, Litmanen, Finidi, Romario, Ronaldo, Stam, Ronald de Boer, Frank de Boer, Hyppia, van der Sar, van Nistelrooy, Davids, Seedorf and will continue doing that. It´s true the Dutch league does not have the level of the Premiership, La Liga or El Calcio but it has a decent level with teams that produce very good players.
Wesley Sneijder can be a huge lift for Valencia, perhaps he has bad luck but he has what it takes to be succesful at the top level. van Bommel did not fail at Spain, he started a lot of games but he did not like the rotation system and Rijkaard decided to let him go and van Bommel was glad to leaver because he will have a starring role at Bayern. The Bavarian team did not have a great season at all but that has nothing to do with van Bommel because the Germans recognize that Mark was one of the very few players who showed a pretty good level of play in a very dissapointing season for Bayern, and no, Sneijder is not relative at all to Dick Schneider.
