Sneijder Profile

A glowing profile of young Wesley Sneijder. I would like to see a bit of him at the World Cup.

sneijder is one of the best talents the dutch has. against scotland he was the best player on the pitch. i think he will get many offers from the big clubs after this world cup.

I don’t know how I feel about Dutch clubs selling off their talent so much. PSV sold their entire mid-field last year(not all Dutch players I know). How much longer will Kuyt and Huntelaar be in the Eredivisie? Not much longer I think.

Hope to see Sneijder as well. Is it a case of him or van der Vaart, but not both the same midfield? Somebody mentioned that they didn’t do to well together for Ajax.

As for Dutch clubs selling, guess it’s just the economics of football. That and players (realistically?) figuring that they can get better wages, and in some cases, a better chance at CL glory by moving abroad.
I doubt that a team such as Ajax’s European Cup winners of 95 would be given the time to mature together these days.

You’re definately right about that. Seedorf, Kluivert, Davids, Overmars, the de Boers and van der Sar. You’re talking about the heart of the Dutch team for a few years.

Now look at players that have left the Netherlands recently: Robben, van Persie, de Jong, van der Vaart and van Bommel. Soon will be Kuyt, then Huntelaar, Babel then Sneijder.

VD Vaart en Sneijer can play well together. They’re good mates and played together often, but Koeman - when he was coach of Ajax - wanted a less risky midfield. Typical…
