Sneijder fit and possible line up

September 11th, 2007 | By: Jan | 14 Comments »

Team manager Marco van Basten is able to use Wesley Sneijder for the EC match against Albania.
The midfielder got a little injury during a trainingsession but during the last test he didn’t have any trouble any more.

Van Basten announced after the Bulgaria match that he pondered changing the team on many places, but according to the last traininsession, only one new face will be greeted: Andre Ooijer, taking over from John Heitinga who left the group due to personal reasons.

Van Basten emphasized however, that no one should be drawing conclusions from that session. “We just wanted to play ball. It doesn’t mean these boys will play against Albania. Everybody needs to be patient for one more day.”

Possible line up Nederland: Van der Sar; Melchiot, Mathijsen, Ooijer and Bouma; Sneijder, De Zeeuw and Van Bronckhorst; Van Persie, Van Nistelrooij and Babel.

GREAT NEWS. Fox Sports World is picking up the feed live at 2:30 EST. I finally get to see Oranje live since WC. I am going to quit work at 2:00 PM and go straight home.

Hum…

Maybe vBasten was nauseated by the constant passing between Heitinga and Mathijsen ??? Truly, at some points I was wondering if I was watching International level football or some Sunday league…

BTW: tjeerd, go to Google.com and search for “myp2p”. I haven’t missed a senior KNVB match since discovering that site.

Ross…. thanks for that remark, that p2p thing. Is that live or can you download the game later at your leisure? And does it buffer, like with Youtube allowing you to watch without glitches or is i…t…l..i…k…e….t…h…i…s…?

@tjeerd—thanks so much for the tip regarding FSC and the Netherlands-Albania match! I can’t see it live, but I’ll have the recorder going and watch it in the evening. No checking in tomorrow with this blog and Jan, as I want to be surprised–pleasantly, I hope!

@Ross–At the suggestion of ferenc, I tried the myp2p site, which at first had some promise but then fizzled when I could not link up the media window with the match. Maybe I did something wrong? Would it matter what part of the US you are in?

Ok, I have been playing around with that p2p stuff, but I’m struggling.

What I did:

I found the ppmate software and downloaded and installed it. So far so good.

Now I found the list with the matches, and found Albania - Holland. All good.

So now what? I get out of bed at 4 am? I start the pc and click on the link in ppmate so the downloading can commence? And then watch it straight away or do I need to wait for it to buffer? Jeez, look at my IT-speak :-).

And that’s it?

Will this work like this?

HELP?

Jan: i use sopcast, but it works exactly the same way - you go to http://myp2p.eu/ , after you click football/weekdays, you go to albania-netherlands,click, and you click on ppmate (i click sopcast) - you have to chose the channel (most of the channels are in chinese). after this it starts automatically: buffering, etc.

if there is no bandwith problem, the buffering takes 1-2 minutes, not more. usually there is no problem - in the last 3 weeks i have only once problems (barca-bilbao - i…t…..w………a…………s……l …….i……………k …………t…………h…………i ……….s),but the buffering stopped at 20-25%. if it reach 40-50 % (usually it is 80-90),the quality is good.

OK everybody. Mac users included. Just visit http://www.freetube.com during the game and click sports on the right and select CCTV 5 and the game should be on. No problem.
