Sneaky Dutch - Robbo

June 10th, 2006 | By: Mike | 3 Comments »

Manchester United and England legend Bryan Robson has picked the Dutch as his dark horses for this year’s World Cup. He figures that van Basten has got the combination right with the youth and along with the fact that noone is talking about them that much they may just go all the way into July.

I’m reading a lot of people thinking that Marco van Basten has got it right after first hearing that he was completely out of his mind. Results = Respect ? I would think so in this case.

sorry dont agree with Robbo, think we are not a dark horse (like in 1998), maybe im a bit pessimistic(?) but just dont see it happening this time, he’s right talking about pace in the team but pace is not all we need, im still worried about defence (esp. since it looks like Marco is playing Heitinga at rightback)
think the team is just not ready YET.. in 4 years time it will be a different story im sure but now??

Hey goose, you’re not a Heijtinga fan? Do you rather see Kromkamp play? I do agree that in 2 and 4 years time, this team (without cocu alas) will rock!

@ jan,
no im not Jan, hes fysicaly strong in that department hes ok, hes also strong in the air, but…

payed attention to him this season and his problem is that when hes of to a bad start his confidence goes and doenst come back..
hes not good in passing to midfield,

on the other hand, what are our options? Kromkamp realy played dissapointing so hes out, guess Marco has no other options but to play Heitinga who ofcourse has all my support if he plays!!

Jan and others, did any of you see the Arg. game? Whats your opinion on our comming opponents?

grteez
