Should we go on?
Is it worth it?
I mean, it was fun during the WC. We had heaps and heaps of bloggers, responses, opinions… But now it seems it’s only the 5 or 6 usual suspects who turn up and even Godfather Mike doesn’t report in anymore…
What do you think? Are there better, different weblogs about Oranje somewhere on the net?
Does this still serve a purpose? Should we go on? Are there silent lurkers around who enjoy this but who don’t participate in the discussions?
Please come out come out where ever you are…
Your thoughts please…
J

Jan - find the energy to keep going man. it has been a delight reading and blogging with all of you.. And allow me to say that this blog site is a very attractive resort for non-Dutch speaking fans, wanting to express their views, or nowadays frustrations hehe, vis-a-vis the Dutch national team.
Do not Despair !! This blogsite has been in many ways a vital asset and contribution to the cause that every true dutch fan believes in.

Agree with all of you, in fact i’m very keen to dicuss about all the great dutch players playing all over europe(even if the national team is not playing) coz all of them are really fantanstic, Makaay regaining some kind of form(6 goals in league), Ruud doing great(saw real-barca??) or super Boula stopping ronaldhino!!
Also i really liked interviews of van basten or cruyff which i find no where else!!!
What would be good also would be that every1 participates, coz i ‘m sure many of us read this blog, without commenting. what i know is that this is one of my favourite places on the web, but i dnt comment that much.
Cheers to all english-talking Dutch supporters!!

I would appreciate it if Jan and Mike continue their English Oranje report, since I have been translating their blog to Chinese in a best Oranje fansite in Chinese area.
Welcome you all!

From a PT fan. Please continue we need as many view points available as possible. Don’t underestimate your readership. They don’t all leave comments, but they do stop to read.

I love the Netherlands blog. I can’t speak Dutch or read it so this is the only way for fans to keep up to date with the latest developments. Keep up the good work!

Ahh Jan. For some things you don’t need a purpose. It is just fun to have a board where you can toss some thoughts around and shoot the breeze about Dutch soccer. It has been 25 years since I wrote Dutch on a regular basis and I tell you it is not something I would do for fun anymore. So an English language forum about Dutch soccer… You gotta like it

Jan,
Don’t get too down, man. You have a nice place here..
And of course we really have no choice but to stick to being Oranje fans. We can’t run over to another team if they are playing better at the moment. Oranje may not be playing as good as we have in the past, but things are building up..
And of course one of these days Holland will win the cup. You may be ninety-two yrs old, barely able to read these posts, typing at about 7 keys per minute…

I don’t write much (for me it’s difficult in english) but I always read your posts and the comments so I hope you continue this blog.

keep going man, i check this blog daily. Great Stuff

Sometimes some posters get to see their posts ‘awaiting moderation’ ad inifinitum. Guess that might push them back from posting. But someone said, this is one of the most informative blogs around and probably the only one that entertains non-Dutch Oraanje fans.
Jan, goose and the whole legion, you have been absolutely fantastic

I’m a self admitted lurker, a wall paper at the highschool dance kinda guy when it comes to blogs usually. It’s taken me a while to find this blog and it would be a shame to loose it. Jan, keep up the good work, please. The thought of putting any more Dutch footy news through the google translater makes my head hurt.

Gotta stay dude; there is no other place for non-dutch speaking fans to get the news from Holland but here.

Jan,
you should continue this blog. i always read it, and it’s especially nice to have a blog in english about our beloved dutch football and oranje.

I’ve been reading this blog for a while, never posted anything, but please, continue. I live in the land where football has nothing to do with feet, and soccer is ranked somewhere below professional wrestling in popular sports. Please continue, there’s no where else I can turn for news about the Oranje (in English no less).

Thanks guys! Much appreciated :-). We’ll keep on going… It’s just good to get some positive feedback, thanks to the lurkers too!
I’ll mail Bob the UberBlogGod about the name change, but till then, we won’t let the lion stand in his little singlet, ok :-)?

It’s really hard to follow Oranje in Louisville, Kentucky! Please keep up the discussion!

Yes I’m still lurking Jan, sorry haven’t posted much lately at all, being too busy tearing my hair out trying to make my hairline look like Robben’s receding hairline.
Keep up the good work, nice to be able to read english. ![]()

Thanks Jan and all who post comments, it’s great to read everyone’s opinion on dutch soccer especially since there are not very many oranje fans in my parts of the world. I haven’t posted since the wc, but i still check this site almost everyday.
