RvN is always lethal, always threatening. They need 2 people in his zone. The midfielders will need to "picked up" in their zones. Marking Raf, Wes and Robin is suicide, so the opponents will have to play zone defense. Robin has the most effective penetrating abilities (starting speed, explosivity and control over ball when running). If Robin is injured, only Robben comes close to Robin's skills. More so than Clarence. With De Cler/Melchiot/Kromkamp we also have penentrating flank players, but the risk will be do know when and when not to come. The Italians/Romanians will love to play counter attack against us. Heitinga in top form is also a player who can and dares to move up to midfield. If that "playing between the lines" game and our timing is on, we can take on any team in the world, with our skills. If it's off, we are vulnerable and quite frankly, mediocre. Because we lack the tough as nails modern defenders to keep the ship afloat when needed. Although we do have pretty decent goalie.... Goose is right. RvN is always lethal, always threatening. He is almost always the first eleven at Milan (90% of Milan games, I guess). I think at the club level, he is surrounded by players that eliminate his weakness.
