Sar, Gol and Seedorf stay home
Oranje will travel to Belarus for the last match of the EC qualification series without the slightly injured Ruud van Nistelrooy (hamstring), Edwin van der Sar (who has the deal to only play matches that count) and Clarence Seedorf. The latter asked permission to go back to Milan, with regards to AC Milan’s tough program. Van Basten agreed.
Henk Timmer, Hewidges Maduro, Nigel de Jong and Klaas Jan Huntelaar are called up as replacements.
Oranje has nothing to play for anymore, having qualified last Saturday against Luxembourg already.

I’ve heard that if Holland wins against Belarus we’ll be, as the team with the highest coefficient, in the pot 1 with Switzerland, Austria and Greece and that could be very dangerous. Instead if Holland doesn’t win and Germany wins we’ll be in the pot 2 with Italy, Cech Republic and Croatia. What do you hope?

Oh shit… I don’t like Oranje to play Italy. They have a bad history. Italy is almost Holland’s angstgegner (EC 2000). The Cech are also not our favorite opponent. I’d say pot 1…. Bring it on…
But: if you want to be the champs, you don’t care which group you’re in, right

If we play the Italians early, so be it. I hope we bury them, and good and hard. Those winers deserve to be put in their place. I live amongst 500 thousand fanatics who deserved to lose to not only the US, but Australia in the last world cup. The had no buisness advancing to the final. They were only able to advance because of the assistance they received from the refferes.

and italy won because germany had eliminited before their crucial game the best team of the world - argentina… i’m not sure that we would beat italy. they’re very solid and function well as a team.
