Ruud important again!

Ruud van Nistelrooy saved coach Schuster from another screaming whistling concert at Bernabeu, playing Real Mallorca. The home team led 2-0 by Ronbinho goals and looked to benefit from Barca’s misstep earlier against Getafe. But Mallorca got back in the game, leading 2-3 in the second half. Captain and Mr Real Raul himself equalized before Ruud van Gol scored the winner 15 minutes before the end of the game. Wesley Sneijder was replaced right after the winner. Drenthe stayed on the bench for the whole match.

This weekend, Van Nistelrooy also announced to be on the verge of extending his Real Madrid contract. “I am very happy here and would like to stay on until 2011 or 2012. Then I’m 35 years old and it may be time to quit. Or then again, maybe there is more in store for me…”
