He is not out of form, he scored four goals in one game!. van Basten is very stupid, one or two bad games in a row and you are left out. Huntelaar has shown his value when he won the Euro 21 tournament with Holland and has been very productive for Ajax and has scored twice with the Dutch National Team. To select Kew Jaliens instead of Kromkamp and to reject Maduro and Drenthe for me are terrible mistakes. I am very afraid with this coach. We have the players but with these kind of decisions I fear we can get eliminated for Euro 08, Bulgaria and Romania are in good position and if we do not beat at least one of them things will complicate a lot. And is Miguel says, if van Basten thinks of van Persie and Ruud as only central strikers then it looks like Robin and Ruud will fight for that position and to bench one of those players will the biggest mistake you can make as it happened when he benched van Nistelrooy at the World Cup. If you as a coach do something like that your destiny is one: failure and with this coach you never know what can happen.
