Ronald Koeman in trouble at PSV

Well, one doesn’t need a crystal ball to predict something like this…

But it does smell fishy in Eindhoven (Shakespearian wink)… Ronald Koeman was brutally critized by Patrick Kluivert last week. The former Ajax/Barcelona/Oranje superstar feels he could have had more impact for the club if Koeman used him better. Koeman will without a doubt discipline the not-so-fit-former-superstriker in a personal talk. But Koeman will have to hurry. The South American contingent at PSV (Farfan, Gomez, Alex, Tardelli etc) want a meeting too. They feel Koeman lacks the sensibility of Hiddink in touching the hearts of the passionate latin players. And after that, the whole group likes a meeting with Koeman and assistant Bruins Slot because they feel Koeman’s training-sessions lack creativity and Bruins Slot’s behaviour in the dug-out is too erratic. Oh, and before the day is over, the PSV management will want a meeting one on one with Koeman about his future…

Jeez…

“We do not discuss Koeman’s position in public,” the spokesperson of the board said recently. “We first want to finish the play-offs before we handle that issue.”

Still, well informed sources tell us that the phone-number of Bert van Marwijk (former Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund coach) is on the top of the stack of PSV’s chairman’s Frits Schuitema’s Rolodex…
