Philip Cocu...he was never the star of the team in the way his contemporaries like Bergkamp, Overmars and Davids were, but I always thought he was a great player. Pierre is another good one for sure.

Jonk was especially great cause he had this 'understanding'with Bergkamp ... he always understood Dennis (wich wasnt always that easy), remember that Inter bought them as a couple (sadly), i remember Jonk scoring a great goal at the uefa cup final, Bergkamp was out ill...

Pierre was a special caracter..very strong personality... (think he was born after a secret liason between mother and a surinam guy...both his parents are white! haha), best freekick player we ever had...better than Koeman (but i could be a bit biased here!)

vanVossen really become a national hero after the Webley game...he alone took us to the US

heres some tubes;

Interesting story developing regarding the details of the compromise between the G14 and FIFA and UEFA.

As you may or may not have picked up G14 (pretty much most of the biggest European clubs, with Raul Sanileh a Director at Barca as the front spokesman) have agreed to disband in return for a number of concessions from FIFA and UEFA. This also invloves dropping a number of litigations...

The main parts of the concessions from FIFA and UEFA is the following:
1) FIFA and UEFA (trickling down to each National Association...)will pay a pretty large sum (just short of 300 million dollars) over 6 years to the clubs for releasing their players to NT duty(obviously will benefit the big clubs with the big salaries,as they have most of the NT players, so they can get even richer and make it even more difficult for small teams to compete for top players, ultimately making small domestic leagues even more terrible to watch). So now playing for your country becomes another source of revenue for the clubs...Interesting, they sure need it...

2)Double week games (i.e. todays EC/WC qualifications on Saturday and Wednesday) will change to a Saturday Tuesday format (starting EC2012). This will allow the players to get an aditional recouperation day for their CLUBS (and LOSE one for the National Team...Sunday will have to be the travel day and that gives you a whole 1 day to prepare for say a Holland, Italy, France, Spain, England etc...the little soccer nations will sure take another hit over that one)

3) Players will only have to be released to friendlies in a different continent ONCE a year...(If I am an African fan, I wouldn't be too happy about that).

4)And finally UEFA has agreed to "as much as possible" to limit EC qualification groups to 6 teams (to lower the number of qual. games).

I find this trend of big clubs beginning to dictate FIFA and UEFA disturbing. As a fan, I like putting my NT shirt on to go watch games at my local pub. It makes you feel good and proud. I am sure most players feel the same. I dont think representing your country was ever about money, they make more than enough anyway (if you got treated with disrespect by your NT coach however, it maybe a different story as we all know...)

They only winners here are the big clubs, the FIFA/UEFA bosses avoiding embarrassing litigation, and the real losers are the NT's...
