Robben: Too many childish mistakes
Arjen Robben thought the win over Slovenia was well deserved, although the team was still making some childish mistakes. “I think we deserved to win, although we needed a typical Sunday-shot to secure it. We created enough, but we all know, creating opportunities is one thing, scoring is another. We got ourselves in trouble that way. But we felt the goal would come. I thought we’d score within 45 minutes, and in that 15 minutes after the break it really went smooth.”
The Chelsea attacker thinks Oranje took some revenge on the Rumania match. “Saturday, nothing really worked out. Whatever we did. Today, we did slightly better. But, we still make those childish mistakes on the pitch. We really gotta stop doing that.”

Jan – great job getting this blog going again. Good to see you guys back. There are rivalries but in the end we all love the same game.
On a side note, funny too see Robben complaining about childish mistakes. His form has improved steadily this season, but early on he did more whining and complaining then anyone else in the EPL. He even out performed Ronald in that category this year. ;-P

heh…time to have a good laugh.
I like Robben – always did from the start. He’s sweet when he’s at his best. You guys are tough on your team. They are getting results, even if you expect more of them.

well were maybe tough on them but they play awful, true, the results arent that bad but the shown level is… maybe my idea of how good we supposed to be should me more realistic but still think were not as bad as we show now and still think its all vanbastens fault..
Liked Robben in the beginning, now i dont like him anymore with his whining and diving…yes, hes a great winger when hes at his best but when hes not hes a terrible player to watch, he makes a fool of himself and a fool of us dutch fans…

goose – I know the feeling PT has had some great games recently, but also some :-/ not so great performances too. I think Robben will improve over time. He has some amazing potential. I’m surprised Mourinho hasn’t done more to settle that part of his game down this year. Perhaps he’s too busy with politics this season.

Oh and I agree with you on V. Basten. I don’t think he is capturing your sides potential either.
