After four match days, Feyenoord is the lone leader in the Eredivisie. Feyenoord won 1-3 against Roda JC and didn’t lose any points. The difference between AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord is remarkable: 5 points. The Louis van Gaal managed team got a draw at Sparta (2-2) and lost earlier on against Vitesse.

Ajax and PSV trail two points behind.

Feyenoord got 1-0 behind in the first half. In the second half, Roy Makaay got a spot kick opportunity he didn’t miss. Later it was Jonathan de Guzman who scored to beauties for the club from Rotterdam.

After an hour of football, Sparta was leading 2-0 against AZ. Medunjanin – former Sparta player – scored in his own goal and Boukhari – former AZ player – scored a real goal for Sparta. In the dying minutes, AZ came back in the game through goals by subs Jenner and el Hamdaoui.
