You guys are insane – even when Oranje goes an entire qualification with a 100% record you want to mess with the formation. Vaart and Sneijder together has been tried before – didn’t work. And what on earth would be the point of shifting Van Bommel to centre half when he’s barely played there in his life? The real question should simply be over who plays in that defence because as far as I’m concerned the midfield and attack is sorted (De Jong, Van Bommel – though I hate it – , Sneijder, Kuyt, Robben, Van Persie). At least one of those attacking 4 will be injured (clue: not Kuyt).

Abhirup, I agree big time!

Most opponents play one striker. So have Boulah/Loovens/Heitinga/Ooijer/Vlaar mark that guy and use Van Bommel as libero.

Use De Jong as destroyer with Sneijder next to him.

And Vaart Robben Kuyt as creative midfielders and Van Persie up front.

And ATTACK! And DESTROY opponents! And win that %$(@#$ cup!!

Why doesn’t Bert play Vaart and Wesley together??I mean,all you have to do is drop one holding medio so that the two of them gets to play together.
A clever manager would destroy the opponent by deploying both of them in their respective attacking positions.
Wesley+Vaart >= Xavi+ Iniesta (in terms of creativity and class).

I think sticking up for your wife/partner/girlfriend is a given, especially under circumstances like this.

I honestly think most people would have done the same if they were in his shoes.
