Profile Tim Vincken

July 4th, 2006 | By: Jan | 1 Comment »

Tim is 19 years old, born close to Rotterdam and was scouted for Feyenoord when he was 9 years old. Tim spent his youth playing football for Feyenoord, training and studying. He is one of those players who finished his high school and is ready to go to University if (duh!!) his career would fail.

Tim always played on the wings, left or right, and scored a lot in the youth teams. He is not a player with complicated trickery. He used his speed and has a timely cross. He doesn’t play for the flair or glory, he plays direct and uncomplicated. With his Overmars-like body and speed, most people see him as the real successor to the former Ajax/Arsenal/Barcelona star, a comparison Vincken really enjoys. In the 2004/2005 season, Vincken made his first appearance in the first team under Ruud Gullit and made the starting line up of the U20 team who performed so well at the WC in 2005 in Holland.

His speed, lack of nerves, guts and direct play are his strong points. His weaker points are heading the ball and he seems to be a bit injury-prone…

He actually looks like Klaas Jan Huntelaar’s smaller brother…
