Uuuuuuh. Hmm… Ruud Hesp, Michael Reiziger, Winston Bogarde, Frank de Boer, Ronald de Boer, Marc Overmars, Boudjewin Zenden, Patrick Kluivert and… hmm… gah… ah of course… Philip Cocu. Today theres only one left, and he is playing in the B team… sad developement.

And he had Jari Litmanen who was a star in his Ajax, haha, some guys and fans called Barcelona Barajax,I heard it on ESPN Latin America, the commentators used to call Barcelona during those times like that.

who’s the guy playing in the b-team? anyway with or without dutch players barca is and will remain a “dutch” club. the spirit of the past, cruyff, rijkaard+neeskens. if i want to see the famous dutch school in its pure form i don’t have nothing to do only watch barca’s games. not important how many dutch footballers play at real, real have a lot to do to become a “dutch” team.
great Miguel that you noticed jari littmanen because he’s “almost” dutch - i was shocked in 95 when he didn’t get the golden ball. he would have deserved it…
overmars played for us in the second van gaal era.
gio came in 2003,davids in 2004 (van bommel in 2005) - both under rijkaard.
the problem was that van gaal should have won at least one cl with his fantastic team. the figo (i still hate him because of his trahison),kluivert, rivaldo tridente was almost as good as the messi, eto’o(henry),ronnie (and the future worldclass geovanni dos santos) line up.

Yes, I totally agree.
Barca is what it is thanks to all the Dutch players and coaches. They have 2 CL one under Cruyff and one under Rijkaard.
I think Schuster also likes our football and will be very successful.
Van Gaal couldn’t win the CL because he was sacked otherwise he’d have won it.

van gaal had the chance to win the cl in 99/00 but barca was eliminated in the semi final by valencia… he had bad relationship with rivaldo… don’t forget that he spent 3 years in catalunya. so, he had time enough to win the cl. other problem that at this time gaspert was the president who wasn’t as intelligent and as future-planner as laporta. he wanted immediate results.
btw a quiz question (sorry Jan): how many dutch trainer worked at barca in the last 37 years? and how many at madrid?

The one playing in Barca B is Jeffrey Hoogervorst, not to be confused with the Catalonian guy in the same team who calls himself Jeffrey. Hoogervorst is soon 23 years old and will never play in Barca A which he knows but he likes his role as a B team stabilizor.

Barca: Michels, Cruijff, vanGaal, Rijkaard , dont know if assistants count; Neeskens, tenCate, Bruin-Slot,
Real: Hiddink, Beenhakker
thats all i know… how many did i miss??

Check this link to see some Frank de Boer magic. The 37 year old played with Lucky Ajax against IJsselmeervogels. Frank scored the most beautiful goal of his whole career!!
