i watched feyenoord-pool. drenthe was good but the butchers didn’t let him play. gio was impressive as a holding central midfielder but feyenoord should have played more openly. kuijt worked as usual - like hell,but pool only after the pennant-babel change got better. typical pre-season match…

Metgod made the move in the beginning of the 80s. He played for the famous AZ team (Tol, Kist, Peters, Nygaard, van Hanegem, Hovenkamp) and Oranje and was quite a towering last man. He never really made it at Real (although he did look like Zidane a bit :-) ) and later moved to Nottingham Forest. I think…
