Phenomenal run on season’s tickets :-)

June 28th, 2007 | By: Jan | 13 Comments »

I can’t help it boys… It’s been a long time since we had such good news coming from Rotterdam. Let’s not waste it, ok? Give me the opportunity to hype the new Feyenoord for some weeks. And then when the season’s started and it all goes pear-shaped again, at least I had some fun…

Tomorrow morning at 9 am, Feyenoord will open the boxes to offer all the fans a chance to grab a season’s ticket. Feyenoord was swamped under by 1000s of requests of fans who want to be there when Feyenoord returns from the ashes this season.

Feyenoord expects to be able to sell out all matches for next season. Director Woerts: “It’s a total madhouse! If we sell 38.000 season’s tickets we will be full! We do need to have a couple of 1000 tickets available for normal sales.” The last season that happened was in the 02/03 season when Feyenoord won the UEFA cup. “We’ll open up extra sales-boxes today. The callcentre went down yesterday, and not just for the season’s tickets, also for our first official match against Chelsea and our Rotterdam Port Tournament.”

The interest in Feyenoord is huge, suddenly. “All our busiiness seats have gone. The local businesses want them all. And they’re 3750 euro a piece. It’s unbelievable what’s happening now…”

The sleeping giant awoke… :-)

So, book your plane-ticket now and get in line otherwise you won’t get your ticket!!

Hello I am back again. Is tihs blog now the Feyenoord blog Jan? I want ORanje here not Feyenoord. YOu are Feyenoord fan? Maybe you want a bit less posts on Feyenoord please. Most people here are here for Oranje. Sorry, but last posts all about Feyenoord. Why not Ajax, PSV and AZ? Or FC Twente? They did better then Feyenoord…

Ish…uhhhh, maybe because Oranje players play on Feyenoord and we have an interest in how they are doing. If you notice on this blog, we discuss Oranje players at many different teams.

Ishmael…get Robben, van Persie, Nistelrooy and van der Vaart to Ajax/AZ/FC Twente and there will be lot of talk on them. It is just that a club which was slipping downhill (no disrespect Jan :-)), now has a bright chance to look up.
Let something worthwhile happen on the Oraanje front and soon the posts would be floating for Oraanje. Otherwise the only thing that would be discussed in these blogs are 4-3-3 vs 4-4-2. Jan/rami/Stephen being the howitzers of the discussion. The discussion in itself is very interesting nevertheless. :-)

Well, I didn’t think the discussion was boring, but it did become redundant. I’m sure it is a discussion that will continue as we watch the Marco-led Oranje play tactically clueless games. And the discussion does prove what part of the season we are in: holiday. The transfer news is a bit more exciting as we all want to see our beloved Oranje succeed wherever they go.

Nice comments guys, Ishmael, we talk here about Dutch Football, not just Oranje. Of course Oranje is above all our top topic but to be able to talk about the Dutch National Team you have to know better what happens with the best players of the Netherlands, don“t you think pal???

Keep up the Feyenoord news Jan. I need to be updated on Oranje and Feyenoord. People here in Toronto are angry Jonathon de Guzman is not playing for Canada in the FIFA under 20 World cup hosted by Canada right now.

Yo Tjeerd, interesting… Why is that exactly? Is he still injured? Doesn’t Feyenoord want him to play? Or does he want to play for Oranje instead of Canada?
