Pain in Alkmaar - AZ loses again!
Louis van Gaal is getting very frustrated, indeed! Last season he thought he did it again. It works like a recipe: take a wealthy chairman, grab a group of like-minded trainers/technical director… Mould a group of young, talented and multi-tasking players into a football-machine (Ajax 1995) and win prizes with good football…
He did it with Ajax. He did not too bad with Barca. He did horribly with Oranje. And with AZ, Louis was ready to reap the rewards again… (WE ARE BETTER THAN ROTTERDAM, WE ARE BETTER THAN EINDHOVEN, WE ARE BETTER THAN AMSTERDAM!!!! WE ARE ALKMAAR….)
But last season, it went wrong. In the last match. And they had to play play-offs… But the batteries were low. The faith was gone. No more magic. And thus, no CL football.
But this season, AZ invested 40 Mio Euros!!!! (compared to 14 Mio by Feyenoord, who managed to get Gio, Makaay, Bruins, Sahin, De Cler, etc and compared to -15 by Ajax (who had a fire sale with Babel and Sneijder)) but there is no dominant football, no results, no swinging AZ…
(Do we really need this guy at Oranje when we have Marco already…;-)? )
AZ’s start was horrible. And after an abysmal 6-1 against Ajax, and a 4-0 defeat against Heerenveen it was NAC who punished Van Gaal this time.
True, AZ was the better team and were 1-0 up front at home. But in the dying minutes of the game, NAC won 1-2… Where is Ryan Donk? What’s with De Zeeuw? Dembele?
Van Gaal is furious with his chairman and his TD… They can’t get him the players he needs (or so he says, after having spent 40 mio already). The fans are furious with Louis and the number 5 position is far off in the league…
And in the meantime, Louis uses every press-opp to explain how motivated he is to manage the Dutch team again…
Will Louis survive this season in Alkmaar….??

sorry; didnt work…
Az really has lost it, esp. deZeeuw plays bad, Az reminds me of HSV last season , they (Hsv) almost won the title 1 year and were almost religated the year later (which cost Thomas Doll his job), dont think Scheringa will let vanGaal off … Scheringa is too intelligent to do that
